    Angry Complaint against Apple/Vodafone - iPhone Sales

    Hi,

    My name is Ashish Jalan and I have a problem to report.

    I purchased an Apple iPhone (purchased details listed below) on the afternoon of 20th July from Vodafone store in City Center, Kolkata. The phone has a defect which needs to be resolved. The Accelerometer and other multi touch sensors are not working.

    I called Apple support in India and the US. Per Apple there is a hardware fault and the phone needs to be replaced. They also asked me to speak to Vodafone here. I logged a call with Apple vide iPhone case no 130789450.

    I tried calling the vodafone helpline after that and I got a POOR response. The customer service executive said he spoke to his technical person but they have no idea of the issue. On insisting that I need a resolution he said someone will try calling me. He had no idea what needs to be done. I also had to specifically ask for a complain no. which is reluctantly provided. The complaint no is 840135882.
    This is a serious deficiency and I need the phone replaced immediately.

    The phone was taken back by the Vodafone store with a committment that a NEW phone would be given to me in 5-7 days. After 7 days I was called and handed over a refurbished phone which had physical damage. The refurbished phone had the IMEI no of 011808008727391 which was being handed over to me on 29/07/2009. I refrained from taking the phone and demanded a new replacement.

    While they have taken it back I am not sure if they would replace with a box new piece given their behaviour. They DO NOT CARE for the consumer and I think that is not correct.

    I am being harrased and made to suffer both mentally and emotionally as to why I bought a product like this. Its is one of the most expensive phones out there in the market.

    I am losing time and effort in this whole deal and affected, harrased and left to lick my wounds in this mess.

    I would either like a BRAND NEW SEALED BOX phone or my money back.

    Please advise what can be done.

    Unhappy tell the process so i will get justice

    I have purchased the goods from the shop , but the seller is not give the goods according to the sample shown ,so i want to take the legal action against the shopkeeper.
    Therefore , i want u to tell the Act. so that i can put him into the court . pls reply

    Dear Ashish,

    In such complaint its better to approach the Company's head office for any help. Writing a letter to their head office will be helpful. So, its better to send them a complaint in writing with the copy of purchase bill and the copy of job sheet card given to you by the service centre. In case of no help or solution you can even move to consumer forum also to get the redressal regarding your complaint.

    We are shocked to bring to your knowledge that we have purchased the above-noted set which is infested with certain technical problems ,I Virag Pant would like to draw your attention for a product bought, On 06/08/2009, I bought a I Phone with Instrument Number: 5176521008887301 . Unfortunately the product has not performed well & even the services were inadequate, because now the phone encountered its first problem of very low battery back up & Speaker low voice . I am disappointed because the product was sent to the service center from where I took it back because the case is being deliberately delayed with some stupid explanation like water blogging etc,the phone is in warranty period & its warranty would soon expire if no action is being taken upon on immediate basis, it shows the negligence towards the customer. I have encountered inadequacy of service which I had not previously considered possible, as well as ignorance and stupidity of monolithic proportion, it talks volumes about the attitude and bureaucratism that is intertwined in their product strategies. This is kind of catch-22 situation.

    Since we have purchased the phone at a very dear price, we expect full value for our money and ask you to get me a solution at the earliest. Also ensure that such problems do not creep up in future and that our faith in I phone remains undaunted.I look forward to your reply and a resolution to my problem.
