Faulty Nokia Mobile Handset

    Default Faulty Nokia Mobile Handset

    Dear Sir

    I purchased a brand new Nokia 5800 XpressMusic on 10.07.09 from a retail shop “Hot Spot” in Dwarka-Sector-5, New Delhi.
    2. However, soon I found that the reception quality was poor as the sound was breaking off. Finally it altogether stopped receiving through handset, though reception could be had through headphone and ear-piece.
    3. We also found out that the sound of the set was not good and the music it played was bad and fidelity very poor on higher pitch.
    4. The hand set was taken to local Nokia care at Dwarka sector-4, New Delhi, who were able to repair one of the problem and the reception became ok.
    5. However they failed to repair the other problem of poor music at higher pitch (probably because of faulty stereo speaker), hence they sent it to company’s main office for repair.
    6. One week have elapsed since then and the set has not been repaired as yet.
    7. I am deeply perturbed and anguished. How come a brand new handset can be so horribly faulty that the local Nokia care are not able to repair. I shudder at the thought that what will happen to such a set when it gets old.
    8. I reported this to the Nokia customer care online (contactcentre.india@nokia.com) and requested them for replacement which they have refused.
    9. The very purpose of purchasing handset has been defeated as my son who has just joined an institute, which is far from our house, badly needed this to communicate.
    10. More over such a faulty hand set would not give me any confidence even if they happen to repair it.
    11. What are my option and how to file a complaint for total replacement?
