Dear Sir/ Madam,
I am Mrs Sarita Singh, sir/ madam I had bought a Nokia 3600 cellular phone jmci no 355706020672583 on 30/09/2009 but off late it started giving problem in the sense its menu control button stopped working. Today my husband took it to Nokia care centre ( Add: Om Jwala Communications, plot no 12, first floor, sector no 4 market Dwarka 110075 ph no not available) there he was told that the phone had been damaged by water getting in side the cell and such damages are not covered under warrenty by the company and the cost of repairing would be Rs 1750/-. The Cell was shown to my husband and it did not seem like water had crept in instead it was because of moisture that the damage would have been done. Sir/ Madam I would like to inform you that to protect my phone from any scratch I have bought a leather cover for the phone so I don’t think water can get in side the phone just like that secondly Sir / Madam my husband is a army officer and also has a cell phone of the same company (Nokia N73). He has to work in rugged conditions in counter insurgency environment in north east ie Assam , he has been using his cell phone for the last two years without any problem, so why is it happening with this set after taking such good care of the set. Sir / Madam my request is that the either the company should replace the set with a new set or repair it free of cost as I think it not at all my fault in this damage to the cell phone.
