I bought a new Nokia C7-00 ESN # 353755047921400 on 25th December 2010.
I started facing issues with the phone as the phone battery was getting drained, if I am on a call the phone used to get switched off even if the battery was 100% charged.
Lately I started facing issue with the phone it never used to get started.
I visited a Nokia Care shop in Kalyan which is located at the following address : Popular Telecommunication 2 New Manisha Bldg Hsg, Soc. Murbad Road Near Thane Kalyan Janta Sahakari Bank Syndicate Kalyan (W) 421301 Phone # 0251-2209983.
The technician at the Nokia Care checked the phone & informed that the phone has a BOOT FAILURE & needs to be sent to the HO at Delhi for a check & the possibilities are if the phone gets repaired then you shall get the same phone or else this would be considered as scrap & a new phone will be provided to you. I was provided with a Job Sheet # 2543 dtd. 16th January 2011.
Today i.e. 28th January 2011 I visited the Nokia Care shop to get the replacement phone & was provided with a unit having ESN # 353755041616451 which I DO NOT intend to accept reason being it is a used phone with lot of scratches on the screen window. I was informed by a technician that I can take the phone for now & then I shall get a call to get the phone screen guard replaced which I am not ready for.
I bought a new phone which i hardly used & expect that Nokia will be humble enough to give me a BRAND NEW UNIT with the original packaging & the old package I have with me will be returned back with all the accessories that came with it.
I have also called the Nokia customer service # 022-30303838 and spoke with Mr. Akash Manusmare and filed a verbal complain # 1-11478023562 & explained him the situation.
If in case Nokia is not able to provide me with a new phone then I shall really appreciate if a Credit Note of Rs. 18,369 is given to me which I paid for the new unit & once I have my money back then I shall move towards any other phone mo
THE HISTORY SINCE 31st Jan'11
I filed the complaint on 28th Jan'11 via phone line & as well as on the web and was promised that I shall get a call in 48 hours of which i received a call but could not answer as i was at the doctors place so after 5 minutes I called the same phone # and was informed the person who called me was in a meeting and will call back tommorrow morning.
Today i.e. 1st Feb'11 I did not get a call by itself so called the care line # and was informed the systems are down & I shall receive a call by 3 pm IST which never happened so I called back at 4:45pm IST & was informed that I will get a call in half an hour which i did receive.
Now I spoke with a gentle lady name Sadaf Imtiyaz & she explained me that the issue will be escalated to some regional department and they will call me in the next 48 hours.
Handling this issue has been a nightmare for me now. I do not understand if other departments were not able to handle the issue then why it was not escalated earlier & why is it that I am being made to wait and call back the care line # for which I am spending my money as the number is not tollfree.
I would like to get the issue resolve ASAP as I do not intend to wait.
Please review the details & advise me what necessary steps I should follow.
