The phone became troblesome at the very start, within first 10 days the first fault appeared, the memory card was not detected, I called the Samsung Tech support, they helped me check whether the port is faulty or the card itself. We came to the conclusion that the port has gone faulty, I was advised to take the phone the Samsung service center. I was not happy, but I understand that this a man made appliance and can go faulty anytime, as the service or replacement was free I went ahead with repairs instead of asking for a relpacement phone.

Till that point i was a happy customer, i reached the service center in the so called Dwarka(Its actually near palam or mahavir enclave). Service center checked the phone, after checking the phone service center told me that as this is a new phone the parts are not available, I thought fair enough, I waited for 5 business days, called the service center and was informed yet again same story, Parts not available. Ultimately after 12-14 days I got my phone back but was not hapy with the performace, the camera quality of the phone had dropped. But again I need the phone to tal;k and not photos so I neglected that, over some time the slider started becoming loose. I tought as I was the one who wanted a slider phone, I had to bear whatever came my way. A very normal Indian approach of taking things lightly.


In december 2010 the display started giving troubles. When I opened the slider the display wen off, still the phone was working and that was the only thing i needed, i used to type with the touchscreen instead of the querty keypad. Hated it as my thumb became sore(too many near and dear ones, hence a lot of messages). On 16th me and my fried were transferring files using bluetooth. Our devices were paired and i was browsing his memory card using my phone, my frind informed me that he cannot find any files of my phone. I checked the settings and found that the files are hidden and the option to make them visible was greyed out. Within the next day the call picking button started acting weird and i had to press the button with force to even pick a call.

That was the time when i thought that it is necessary the i take the phone to the service center. On 19th December I took the phone to the service center in Moti Nagar. Informed about all three issues(Work Order Number: L1914):

1. Screen going off when slider opened.
2. Unable to unhide the files on memory card for bluetooth transfers.
3. The Call Pick button not responding properly.

I was informed that it will take 5-6 days and approximate date for return was given as 25-12-2010. As advised I contacted the service center on 25-12-2010, I was informed that the part is not available and would take few more days. I had taken a temporary phone from my cousin for a week, I waited till Wednesday i.e. 29-12-2010, again the same response Parts not available. Waited for one more week. Contacted the service center again on 04-01-2011, surprise... surprise... Phone not ready, and service center told me that as soon as it is ready they will contact me on 7838011182 or 9999833839.

Today it is 09-01-2011 and guess what, I have not received any calls from anyone, neither Service center nor samsung.

After reading my email till here, you might have got a brief idea how frustrated I am. To express my frustration and how pathetic I am feeling, I cannot find right words as I dont wanna be rude. Just for your information I also work in the service industry and deal with business customer who buy machines that are worth 2-3 lakh rupees a piece. I know these are just machines and we expect them to fail some time or other, but this service that I have received is ridiculous.

I want to file a complaint in "CONSUMER COURT" to make sure the torture that I am going through makes you learn something out of it, so that either the customers gets the right service that he deserves.

Also, If anyone has Email ID's for the CEO or MD, I would be thankful if the same can be provided to me.
