I had purchased a HTC S-720 mobile handset for "Reliance " CDMA network on 8th May 2008 from a dealer, M/S Record Shoppee-Matunga,Mumbai. (Inv. # 22084, IMEI # 365F520E). For a first few months the set worked satisfactorily but for last couple of months the battery started draining within 4-5 hours of normal use. And now for last one month, the battery showing 100% charged status would drain off within on or two conversations lasting few minutes. I approached the dealer with the purchase receipt, with a valid guarantee period, I was assured a prompt action. To my dismay the official repair shop M/S R.T. Outsourcing - Vikhroli, with whom the set is lying since 24th April 2009, has been evading my queries and all my e-mailed complains to HTC support remain unanswered. The reason forwarded by R.T. Outsourcing is non availability of parts !!! I want to know how the consumer court can take up my issue with the company- i.e. Reliance or HTC.
