TO, THE CONSUMER COURT
NEW DELHI
Dear Sir,
I would like to bring to your attention the following:-
1. I am Kirpal Singh s/o S. Kuldeep Singh, aged 26, r/o J-171, Vishnu Garden,Delhi-110018.
2. I purchased one Intex i smart mobile on 03-04-2010 from a Home Shop18 Inv. no. 00233 for Rs.4299/-.
3. The track ball, speaker, the phonebook key and the battery of this mobile was not working properly.
4. On 1st August 2010, I deposited this mobile with their Service Centre in Hari Nagar. They committed me to return my mobile in 7 days after due repair. But I got the mobile phone back after 45 days and that too was with the same problems. It was never rectified.
It did not work fine from the very first day. Sometimes its roller ball stops functioning and sometimes its battery goes to empty even if it showed you a minute ago that it was full. There were many other functions which were not up to the mark.
Frankly speaking when I bought this handset, I loved it and I even suggested many of my friends to buy the same handset but when I used it, I feel like that I have wasted my money buying this handset. I am a big fan of INTEX and I am into the technology line from the past so many years and I have never seen Intex faltering on any of the Devices that it produces but this one has totally changed my perception about Intex.
After the frustration carrying on since the day when I made a mistake buying an INTEX Ismart Mobile phone, I am feeling that if a person wants to get himself SLAUGHTERED, he should go a head and buy INTEX PRODUCTS.
I have wasted complete one day and no one has even bothered to answer me back. After I sent the below email, I got a call from some lady(did not wrote down the name) from INTEX Mobile Phones to send the product back to Intex Technologies in okhla and she gave me my account code and also the Intex address. On 5th Oct, 2010 I submitted the handset at the TNT Courier Mayapuri. The details are listed below:

I wondered that how come no one responded to the return of the mobile phone. Where in I was assured by that lady that my refund would me made in 4-5 working days. There begins the HARASSMENT chapter, when I called up Intex Mobile phones on the no. given on their website as given below:
Intex Technologies (India) Limited
D – 18/2, Okhla Industrial Area, Phase – II
New Delhi – 110020.
Tel. – +91 11 30888904 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting@@@@@@@@@@@@@@+91 11 30888904@@@@@@end_of_the_skype_highlighting begin_of_the_skype_highlighting +91 11 30888904 end_of_the_skype_highlighting, 30888911, 30888912

Toll Free – 1800 11 6789
I tried these no.s for atleast 3-4 hours but no one picked up the phone. I was dying to hear a human voice from the Intex Centre which did not happen. Then I thought of calling Home SHop18 from where I purchased this mobile, the height of nonsense was so much that the people from Home Shop18 was so much that disconnected my call 3 times, stating that there is no supervisor available on the floor. The 4th time a gentleman named "Kanwar Singh" took the escalation call and finally spoke to me about the same and he promised to give a probable solution for the same today between 1500 - 1700 Hrs.
Now, when I called Home Shop18, then the executive told me that all the Team Leaders are in a meeting so they cannot transfer my call. So with no choice left I have to disconnect the call. Then I called up Intex Toll Free no. from there they said that they cannot access the ticket no.s which I gave them i.e 2010030001396 and 2010030001332 respectively. So they gave me the no. for Mr Javed (9968987861) and when I called up Mr. Javed, he told me that he takes care of the PC's not the Mobile phones. Now he gave me another no. (01143192234) for Miss Neetu and told me that she can help you. I called this no. as well and got to know that Miss Neetu has left the office early and there is someone else who was managing in her absence and that fellow did not even know how to TRANSFER a call, so he gave me 2 more PHONE No.s. By this time I was LITERALLY DYING to get connected to the correct person, so I called up the no.s that person gave me. Now when I called the 1st no. (9717739707) Mr N Sarvanand, this no. did not exist, so very frustrating. Then I called up the 2nd no. (9999973572) Mr. Rajnish and this getleman gave me the ride of my life stating that from where the hell did you get my no. and after SHOUTING at me he disconnected the call. I called him up again and he disconnected again, I rang the phone for the 3rd time and now this person said please dont call me and call some other person. THIS IS NOT THE END.
I some how found another no. i.e 41610224/25/26, I called up this no as well and the lady told me that she would connect me to the Intex Mobile Department and she transferred my call to another lady, where she told me to give a call to Mr. Akhlakh(01143172876) and as usual he also was not present at his seat to answer my call.
NOW WHEN I AM IN NO MANS LAND, I HAVE DECIDED TO STOP WRITING MAILS AFTER THIS MAIL AND CONTACTING PEOPLE FOR MY MOBILE PHONE BECUASE I KNOW THAT EVEN GOD CANNOT GET THIS DONE FOR ME. INTEX IS A BRAND RUN BY HEADLESS CHICKENS NOTHING GOOD CAN HAPPEN TO ME AND ONLY THING I CAN DO IS SURRENDER AND THAT IS WHAT I AM DOING.
I request you to kindly help me in REFUND my money or else change my handset with an upgraded version of this handset same make with a qwerty keypad.
Yours sincerely
Kirpal Singh
