    Default Complaint- Sony Ericsson Aino

    I, had bought a Sony Ericsson Aino (U10i) on May 9, 2010 from Fine Connections, (Irla branch) Vile Parle (west), for Rs. 19750/- (Rupees Nineteen Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Rupees).

    However, within a month from the date of purchase, the handset is causing problems, which your service centre or the head office are unable to repair.

    Without any fault on my part the volume of the phone has become so low that I am unable to hear from the phone and also if the call is answered using the touch screen without opening the flap, there is a constant peculiar sound which can be heard on both ends making everything else inaudible.

    On June 17, 2010, I had given my handset for repair to Sony Ericsson service centre at Juhu and they had in turn forwarded the handset to the head office at Vikhroli, as they were unable to find a solution to the problem. The handset was also returned from the head office without being repaired and the same problem still existed. My work order number for the same was SE310MT113285.

    On June 26, 2010, for the second time I had to submit my handset to be forwarded to the head office as the problem still existed as mentioned aforesaid. As on date the technicians at Sony Ericsson are not able to rectify the problem and the handset is still with them. My work order number for the same is SE310MT113418.

    Today, i.e. July 7, 2010, I finally received a call from one Ms. Shilpa from the Sony Ericsson service centre stating that the exact problem cannot be detected and it appears that there is a problem with the circuit and now they have proposed to replace the entire circuit of the handset to see if that solves the problem.


    I am of the opinion that there is a problem with the handset itself as it has not been used for over a month and the problem in the handset exists even after the technicians of Sony Ericsson have tried to repair it.

    After using my new phone only for a month, I had to part with it and the same has been lying with Sony Ericsson for almost 20 days now causing me a lot of inconvenience. I now refuse to accept the same handset as it is in my opinion defected , and I believe that there is a problem with the model itself, as I have come across others facing similar problems with Aino, therefore, I call upon Sony Ericsson to replace my handset with any other Sony Ericsson model I wish to purchase, adjusting the price I have already paid for this phone.

    I have time and again communicated the problem with Sony Ericsson Service Centre as well as intimated Sony Ericsson about the same vide my emails sent at:-
    (i) mobiletech@mobiletechnology.co.in and
    (ii) questions.in@support.sonyericsson.com
    Until today, there has been no response from Sony Ericsson in regards to my complaints and I am really disappointed with the customer service offered by Sony Ericsson.

    If you are facing the same problem with your Sony Ericson Aino again and again even after many repair by the Parent company, it means the problem is irreparable and the product is faulty and need to be replaced. For that you need to register your complaint with their Customer care, and in case you are not satisfied with Customer Care response then send a written notice to the CMD of Sony Ericson, mention all the details in it, attach all the photocopy of relevant documents like bill, and the job sheet and ask them for the refund/replacement within the mentioned time in the notice.
    Wait for their response and revert us back.
