Default Regarding Nokia Care Centre Poor Service

I have purchased a Nokia 6233 handset, after some time it starts giving problems while charging. I visited the Nokia Care Centre (Mobile Clinic, Basant Chowk, Shop No. 4, Green Mart Complex, Jalandhar) on 25 Aug 2008 and submitted them my Handset. After two days when I asked them about my handset then they said that we have send your handset to our Chandigarh Branch for Repair.

After One month they said that your handset has gone for Replacement and they had confirmed me the date: 3rd Oct 2008. But Till today they had not given me my handset back. When ever I visit their office they just said that you will confirm it next Saturday. Now, its almost three months has past but they are not providing me the right information regarding my handset.

Default Nokia Service Centre -- bad experience

I have purchased a Nokia X3handset. It fell down on the floor in last week and the back key stopped working. I visited the Nokia Care Centre (Mobile Link, Hadapsar, Pune) to get it repaired. The front desk lady listened to my problem and collected my handset for inspection by the technician sitting behind the glasses. The guy sitting inside the repair centre opened the handset and closed it back within 1 min.

The lady collected phone from technician and quoted Rs1400 to fix the problem and offered another option of extending the warranty for 1 year by paying Rs575.

I was sure that there is no major issue with the phone so didn't handover my phone to the Nokia Repair Centre. I visited a local technician and the guy fixed the key problem without opening it. Moreover, he didn't take any money from me. I told him the entire story and he was shocked.

Who will trust these authorised service centres? I can understand they have big setup, people working so need to pay salary but they should charge some reasonable amount and didn't loot our hard earned money.

    Thanks,
    Santosh
