I bought a Sony Satio Mobile for Rs.33,000/- on 06-12-2009 from their dealer M/s Gurukripa Electronics at Dadar, Mumbai.

Since the day I bought the handset it repeatedly hangs and you cannot use any of its features (including switching it off). Infact I had to repeatedly remove the battrey and re-insert it and restart the handset.

Also the speakerphone quality was very very low & poor.

I immediately brought it to the notice of the dealer and requested him to change the handset, however, he instead requested me to approach the service centre of sony erricson at dadar (near portugese church).

I now approached the authorised service centre and after seeing the complaint they accepted the NEW handset for workshop repairs.

I received the handset back after a few days only to find that the service centre has switched off most of the conflicting features like:-
1. speakerphone (sound was now zero)
2. 2. auto focus
3. 3. smile detection
4. 4. image stabilizer
5. 5. best Pic,
6. 6 etc.
When I brought it to their notice I was told that all business phones have very low sound, hence this handset too had a very low sound at the speakerphone. I was also told to accept the handset for now as all features are operational and I wall have to figure out how.

I also met 2 more customers of Sony Erricson Satio who had exactly the same complaint.

I again took the handset to gurukripa Electronics where they have accepted my handset and sent it for repairs to another authorised sony erricson service centre at Bombay Central.

I also complained on the sony erricson India website on 20th December, 2009, but have still not got a response.

I also called up on their helpline where the girl after hearing my complaint put me on hold for the next half hour (she did not come back).

I am now stuck and have been running from pillar to post
