Hi,

I purchased Nokia N79 on 21 Sept 2009 from UniverCell.

Total Amount Paid = Rs 15,350
Bill No = 1519088

The third day itself I identified a problem in the phone display i.e. the camera and Video player of the phone were not working properly.

Whenever I wanted to open the camera or play a video, I had to switch off and on phone the phone.

When I complained to Nokia Customer Care they told me to do the Software update and assured me that it will be OK after that, but the problem persisted.

I contacted them again and they told me to take the phone to Nokia care on 3 Oct 2009. They told that the display pf the phone needs to be changed. I requested them to replace the phone as I bought it 21 sept 2009 itself but they didnt lend an ear to my request and kept on saying that Nokia gives warranty but not guarantee.

They changed the display and called me on 10 Oct 2009. I went there and checked the phone, the problem still persisted.

They then told me that the problem might be with the mother board and they will have to send the Phone to Nokia Center where it will be decided whether to replace or repair the phone.

Till then it 24 of Oct today and have'nt heard a word from them.

I WOULD REQUEST YOU TO HELP ME IN GETTING THE PHONE REPLACED.
