Dear sir,
I have purchased my SonyEricson W760i on December 6th 2008 and it is still in Warranty Period.Three weeks back I found my Keypad not working properly(only two keys,Call and Cancel keys are not working) and so I have given my mobile to service center on September 7th 2009.At the time of recieving they have checked the mobile and booked my mobile under Warranty and asked me to collect my mobile in 1 week back.After 1 week they have called me and said that water has gone into mother board and it doesnt come under warranty and asked me whether to login in Non-Warranty and repair the same for which I refused and went to the service center to know the problem in detail.The service center employees argueed with me and said that its completley my fault.They tried to return back my mobile which has gone to complete DEAD state and it not even switching On.Then I went to meet the manager and argued with him and he called his employees and enquired about my mobile status.Those employees then changed their answer and said that Mother Board is working fine,but keypad have to be replaced at my own cost .Also they are telling that even if keypad is replaced if mobile doesnt work properly then they will again log the mobile under warranty and return me with a new mother board.The approximate amount they are putting on me is Rs 3000.I have asked them not to repair the cell untill I contact them,and I will contact them in 1 week.
Sir Iam much worried about the following points:
1.The employees are not giving me the correct answer for my mobile problem.First time they have said water has gone into mother board and its completely useless.But when I argued seriously and went to manager,they have changed their reply and said me Keyboard is problem and I have to replace my Key board and even if I afford to do so they are not confident in their service and replying that even if they replaced the keybord if it doesnt work then they will replace the mother Board under warranty(They are feeling that they are doing a favour to me by doing so)
2.At the Time of recieving my mobile , they have checked clearly and given the Job sheet in which "Liquid Intrusion Indicator" is white.(Note If it is in Red ,that means the Liquid(water) has gone into the mobile,I think so..). Now after keeping the mobile with them for a period of 1 week I dont know what has happened ,now the "Liquid Intrusion Indicator" is showing "Red" color.I dont know why it is showing Red as at the time of handovering it is in white and for this 1 week period the mobile is with them and now it is showing Red means the problem may happended because of their careless which they are showing me as my Fault.
3.My point is to either repair/replace the mobile under Warranty or return back back my mobile on same conditon in which i handed over to them so that I can atleast resale it.But they are returning back in a Dead state which is no more useful and my 15,500 is completley waste.
4.All the Service Center Employees are not giving proper respect .
