    Default HTC Motherboard Issue

    Hello,

    This is regarding a complaint with my HTC Touch P 3452 HandSet. I bought this hand set on 28/09/2008. What my problem is, in this 11 month time, 3 times the motherboard got replaced (now the handset having the 4th motherboard), 3 times the software updated (due to hanging, auto power off etc) and once the battery also replaced. Am becoming a regular customer to the service center, almost 12 - 15 times I visited there.

    Issues faced:

    The battery got replaced on : 18/04/2009
    1st Motherboard replaced on : 21/05/2009
    Software updated : July - auto power off problem
    2nd motherboard replaced on : 11/08/2009
    3rd motherboard replaced on : 25/08/2009

    In between I updated software twice. (Don’t have job sheet for reflashing software)

    I having all the job sheets with me.

    I complainted regarding this on 29/07/2009 to 'in_service@htc.com' and called up to the customer service also

    I got a call from HTC customer service US for sorting my issue, they told an Indian representative will contact me. Till this time, they saying its under process, its under process..

    My warranty will comes to end by this month end. The service people have given 3 months additional warranty to the mobile after replacing the motherboard.
    But how can I trust on this handset. The motherboard they charging almost the same amount of the handset. If something happened, after 3 month, my entire money I spend on the handset will be lost.

    First 5 month, it worked ok, only once I updated the software. But from 6th month onwards I got headache with this set.

    I won't get the worth of money I paid for the handset (16000Rs). Always I have to carry a additional handset with me and want to spend my 2 to 3 hrs for going to the customer service to get it repaired. I called almost 15 - 20 times to the customer support(New Delhi) for sorting my issue

    I hope there is some values for complaining this. I want to say that many of them facing so many issues with HTC. They are selling low quality handset to India thinking that Indian won't complaint and no action will be taken.

    When I told to the US customer service regarding this, they were convinced with my complaint. But from here nothing happening in favoring me.

    Please consider this complaint and do the needful

    Hi jishith,

    I also had a HTC mobile some 6 months back.
    During the warranty period, the software was updated twice as my phone will hang if i have more than three applications running. I have spent lot of time at the service centr for this.

    I have also faced the mother board issue. The problem started with no network coverage at times. I contacted the service centre. They told there was some problem with mother board which should be replaced. The warranty was over by just 2 months. The cost of mother board was very close to the phone price. I have left it out and now using another brand mobile phone.

    I would say dont go for HTC mobiles. Either they are not tested or as you said, they are shipping low quality mobiles to India.

    Any way you are lucky to be in the warranty period. All the best.

    Dear All,

    In case of Mobile handsets, if we are not satisfied with the responses or the services of service centre, we can lodge our complaint with the head office of the Mobile Co. for the same. But if the Co. is also not providing any help in that concern we can only file a case in consumer forum against the Service Centre as well as the Co. to get the redressal. First of all, send a written complaint to HTC Mobile Co's head office to get any help on Co. level without approaching Consumer Forum.

    On 21st sepember I had sent a registered letter to HTC India Head .Till now i didnt get any response from their side. On 21st I again got a call from US Customer service. They are asking me why the hand set is not replaced Yet and they will track it with Indian representative. But no response from Indian support. I dont know what I have to do now. I raised the issue with the support center 3 months before
    My mobile battery backup is also getting bad .

    Why I wont getting any response from your side.

    I have send a registered letter to the india head 20 days before. I got the call from the support(New Delhi) , they told my issue will sort by last week. But they just replaced the motherboard. So a total of 5 times the motherboard got replaced for my handset. In the last 3 month i hardly used the handset for a week and by that time my warrantry also came to end. They just giving the 3 months additional warranty.
    When I talked to the support people they told this time they replaced the motherboard with care

    Today many of the people are fighting in the service center with the cost of the motherboard and the support. Many of them having the same model.

    Please do something against the cheating the HTC company.

    Dear sir/ madam
    This is regarding a complaint with my HTC Touch P 3452 HandSet. I bought this hand set on 17/12/2008.my problem is that i have been facing a problem with my mobile charger, sim port/jack and headset/handsfree for one month. I went to the htc customer care centre in lajpat nagar New Delhi. they kept my phone and said you come after three days.I went there but they didn't give me the satisfactory reply. now 12 days have passed even they didn't tell me the status of the phone, that what the problem with phone exactly is.
    I have called them 20-30 times and they told we will call you back to tell you the status but even once they have not called me at all. they don't pick my phone, when i called from different no. they picked the phone and said we will call you later and tell the status. they didn't call me at once at all.
    please advice me that what should i do as they are not having right behaviour with me.
    I saw the same problem with some one also in the complaints here in the forum.
    please sort out the problem I will be very thankfull to you.

    Default motherboard issue

    hi,

    I have purcharsed HTC P3350 before 2.5yrs, now Its out of warranty, suddenly its not starting just not opening also. shown to HTC authorised service center at pune, the engineer said that motherboard need to be changed,

    I am surprised to see that after 2.5 yrs how the motherboard gets damaged. expected expenses is 7000/-, its not fare, they also not taking guarantee about data. I need some solution.
