    Hi
    i took a new vodafone post paid number 9920578101 in the month of october in 2011. I received a bill of rs.100 in the first month which i paid and then in the second month i told them to deactivate my number as it was just being kept unused. And now in the last week of january i have received a bill of rs.2200/- . When i called the customer care to check about this bill they said that i have made downloads from this number in the month of december and i have to make this payment or they will drag me to court. When i cancelled my number the services on my sin card were barred immediately and when i told them that i have cancelled this number they said that i have not made any such request with them. If i had not made any such request then how come they cancelled the services on the sim card??.... Do they think we are fools sitting here to make payments without any use of their services. Is there any way through which we can curb such fraudulent happenings with these people?.... Can anyone give me a suggestion as what i should do. I am certainly not going to make any payments for this as i haven't used the number.

Hence we regret to inform you that the charges levied towards the numbers are valid and we are unable to process a reversal for the same.     Thanks for the reply.

    I have been using these two numbers since the last three years. Except during the inception, (since I did not know that these services are active by default), these services were never active on my numbers. Why did Vodafone change the definition of these services and did not inform the customer before making them core services. These services were not active on my numbers before 20th December. Moreover the so called "core services" are no longer active on my cell 98332 53362 after I had given a request to disable the services after getting this ridiculous bill. However for some reason the customer care is not able to disable the service on 98332 53364. Also note that I had gone to the Vodafone gallery with my iphone and they were not able to find any setting by which interet can be disabled on my phone. So if these services are offered as core services then people like me will have no option left but to switch to other service provider which can restrict these services.
    I think it is ethical for Vodafone to accept a goof up on their technical side on 20th December, instead of passing the buck to the customer.

    We would like to inform you that the charges are accurate and cannot be reversed. Please follow the given procedure to deactivate GPRS: Settings-> General-> Network-> Cellular data-> Off.     Thanks for the reply.

    I am using an Iphone and does not have any settings that have been mentioned by you. As I have mentioned in my previous note, even Vodafone Gallery people were not able to deactivate it.

    I have been getting the same response again & again - your charges are accurate and cannot be reversed. Why are you not explaining why are these charges, even when there was no request to activate Internet on my phone. In my previous note I have already mentioned that your claim on Internet being a core service is incorrect since it is disabled on my number 98332 53362 (while I am writing this). Why did Vodafone allow internet access on my phone at all without my approval. All I am asking is the reason why internet access was allowed on my phone and not the accuracy / inaccuracy of my charges.

    Hi Sir,

    I am the initiator of this thread, still my issue is not fully resolved!!!

    Iphone extra charges were waived off but still there is mistake in tax calculation and the local free mins(discount) calculation.

    I am daily getting messages to pay remaining amount even if there is nothing pending on my side

    I have already called the customer care numbers, email to vodafone care, called the 02271637000 number.

    One associate from 02271637000 accepted that there is wrong bill calculations and I need to call 198 in that case.

    I have called 198 today and the customer care executive talk to me rudely and said amount will get adjusted to next bill.

    There is a disgusting voice mail (from vodafone) for payment on my call service whenever I am trying to call any number.

    I have already paid amount greater than the actual.

    Bill summary: 198(monthly rent)+50(late fee for last month)=248+ tax 25= approx 275Rs

    I have already paid Rs 437.76

    Now vodafone needs to credit amount 437.76-275= Rs 222.76

    ITS ALL FRUSTRATING FOR ME FOLLOWING UP ON THIS FROM LAST ONE MONTH

    Help me here and if you can not then just just cut my vodafone service.

The usage charges for the service will be 10p/10KB if there is no subscription to any promotional offer.     Hello,

    This is my serious complaint against whole Vodafone system.

    Issue 1:
    Corporate connection: 9820053524
    - 49 Rs charged extra for Vodafone live 49 plan where as my GPRS 2GB VMC plan is already activated.
    - I have been charged 99 Rs extra in my previous month (Dec) bill for vodafone live connection which i have deactivated and activated GPRS 2GB. You people charged me for both. This is why i have paid 99 less in my previous month bill. This amount is still showing in my current bill as pending.
    - I have been charged 897.50/- for iphone internet usage. this is absolutely ridiculous.

    Now I am completely clueless how much should i pay. If i dont pay they will stop my service

    Issue 2:
    Corporate connection: 9833132176

    - I have been charged 438.90 for iphone internet usage. My phone is a simple one and not an iphone.


    Expectation from Vodafone:
    on issue1:
    - Waive off Rs 110/- (99Rs + 10 rs Service tax) which you guys charged on vodafone live
    - send me updated bill without any 49/- for vodafone live plan and iphone charges

    On issue 2:
    -Send me an updated bill without iphone charges

    MOST IMP:
    After Raising complaint on 198, I never get a call from vodafone but still getting message that vodafone have tried to reach me and i was not available and asking me to call 111. Because this is chargable. Is this new way to make money?

    Its not easy to change the numbers as this number is used at many forums like banking.

    Default Serious Complaint for harassment by Vodafone

    Dear Mr. Nodal Officer,


    Sorry for writing this email directly but I am compelled to write this complaint against you Vodafone Collection Department/Agency (022-71637000), which has made me last call just 10 Minutes back seeking payment of March-April 2012 months towards usage. Before Vodafone's eratic attitude I would like to make it clear that as per my bill cycle I was suppose to make payment by 25.04.2012, however meanwhile I joined a Company named GVK (Mumbai International Airport Pvt. Ltd.) and my number was converted to corporate connection. I received a call on 18-19th April 2012 that my bill payments have been adjusted, hence no need to make any payment. Even, when I checked my due balance from *111#, it was showing 00 balance.


    Suddenly, on7th of April i received a call from Vodafone that last month's bill was not paid; I told that earlier I had been informed that the same has been paid, still if it was not paid, I assured that the payment could be collected from my office at Mumbai International Airport Pvt. Ltd, (Domestic Airport)Terminal 1B, Satacruz, Mumbai, where i left a cheque of Rs. 972/- (as told this is the only amount to be paid) and I was informed that Vodafone's representative would come on 8th after making an advance intimatory call but to no avail. On the other hand, I received another call from Vodafone that since my bill already has been paid/adjusted, no executive would come to collec the cheque. I got confused about such an unprofessional behavoiur and uncertainity of your company on payment status.


    on 10th April 2012 I came to Delhi for some urgent work, I received a call for payment, to which I said cheque might be collected from my office and thereafter several people from Vodafone/Recovery Agency called up and harassing me for the same, despite the fact I am in Delhi and not at Mumbai. Today i,.e. 11.05.2012 again 3 calls i received from differnt persons (Vodafone) and i have been explaining the whole story again and again....still they are harassing/threatening me....i have come to see a patient admitted in ICU at AIMS, Delhi but Vodafone's inhumane and unprofessional attitude has caused a lot of mental agony and inconvenience for whivh it will have to face the legal consequences.


    I am sending this email with a request that you would look into the matter or I shall be compelled to take legal recourse including criminal action against Vodafone and concerned Department/Agency for making harassment/mental agony and threatening me.
