    Exclamation Connection Suspended, Billing ON.

    I am a customer of Airtel for many services and recently purchased a postpaid 3G connection for my IPAD.


    Airtel Number 9971129916


    This number is issued in my name KAPIL BARMAN on my Ghaziabad address.


    For initial 10 days connection was working fine but suddenly it went out of service on 3rd of Jan. I tried reaching airtel customer helpline but was not given any satisfactory answer till 13th of Jan. On 13th of January some gentleman told me that my services are barred as my address verification was incomplete.


    Query 1: When someone come at home for verifying the address, and if the door is locked as i was in office, why no call was made on my alternate number to inform me about this?


    Anyways i asked your executive to resend the verification team this week (Req Number 41569612) which again did not happen.


    Now again today when i called your help desk to know why no one has come yet, they told me that they dont know and registered another request for visit next week. ( Req Number 41661326)


    To my surprise, they told me that billing will not stop even if the services are suspended. also there is no way to terminate the connection also. So as a customer i an Struck both ways.


    Query 2: Please let me know why am i supposed to pay the bill for a service which i am not using at all. First of all i am suffering as my number was disconnected without any notice and now getting billed for the service which is suspended unilaterally?


    Suggest a resolution with clear timeline. My alternate contact number is 9250009916 and will be happy to amicably resolve the matter.




    My request to you is to Get my connection reactivated with a waiver of the suspended period in the bill. Or get the connection disconnected with no further billing with due acknowledgment.

    Sorry to inform Airtel team that what you commit and what you deliver are completely our of Sync. It was prove3n once again after i thought to cooperate fully for past 15 days with Airtel. Great Shame.

    Updating you if this will wake you guys up.

    Date 23 Jan, Ms Swati Mishra from Appellate office called me up, apologized and tried to passify the whole deadlock. I was written a detailed mail from appaellate.del@in.airtel.com on 23rd January 11:54 AM askng me to reapply for the connection. Resubmit the whole documents and then only connection will be restored.

    Date 28 Jan, Someone from Nodal office named Mr. Krishna call me up again from the number 9871999147 and told me that we will send someone to recollect the documents, same number will be reissued to you immidiately.

    Date 28 Jan-1 Feb i consistently followed up with Mr. Krishna that what the status, the LAME excuse given to me was that executive who collected the docs was on leave. (IS THIS A CUSTOMER's Problem to follow up?)

    Date 2 Feb 11:00 AM i got a call from Mr. Krishna that even when the docs have been collected, connection cant be started as by this time there is some outstanding on your number. You first visit Airtel Outlet and clear the outstanding and then only we will restore the number. I asked him that this can be offset against the SIM charges deposited earlier while taking the connection for which he was negative.

    Date 2 Feb 2 PM: I visited an airtel outlet and again paid the entire outstanding on the number just ASSUMING THE goodwill will reflect in airtel's response as well.

    Date 2 Feb 4 PM : I again got a call from Mr. Krishna and he told me that connection still cant be activated as again an executive will visit to meet me tomorrow.


    Date 3 Feb: I am waiting at my registered address since morning 9:30 AM. I was given assurance that today number will be restored but in vain. None called / visited my address still and now even not responding to my queries/ calls on phone.
