Overinflated bill from airtel Dear Sir/ Madam,
I am forced to write this complaint out of utter frustration and a hell lot of inconvenience. It is regarding my airtel mobile number 9967969647 which I have been using since last 4 years. Until 2 months ago I was a prepaid customer and used to top up about 1500 rupees on an average, I recieved a call from your telesales department who said I could opt for postpaid connection on the same number and it would be beneficial from me. I trusted then in good faith, took the connection and also subscribed to airtel's 3G pack of 750 rupees which gives 5GB of data usage. Until the last week of my billing cycle I kept getting regular reminders about my usage which I thought was brilliant as it helped me keep a check however in the last week they stopped sending those alerts. I used to call them thrice everyday to check my data usage and everytime I was assured that I was well within my limit and shouldn't worry a penny. I had lodged 2 complaints (complaint numbers - 40817156, 41186175) to make sure everything was documented in the records . Also, at 12.29 AM on 23rd December (Just one day before my billing date which is 24th) I recived a reminder from Airtel saying that I had consumed approx 4GB out of my free 5GB (screenshot attached below). However a few days later when I checked my bill I was shocked to see that they had billed me for 6068.65 rupees. When I called up their customer care, their representatives hung up on me thrice, when I solicited a manager they put me on hold for 20 minutes and then disconnected it. I went to their relationship office in Mira Road the next day to check where the error was and the lady at the counter showed me her screen and told me that I had utilised 6.8 GB of data on 22nd itself and yet they kept misinforming me that I still had more allowance remaining. Not just the customer care but also their notification system is desgined in such a way that the customers don't have a clear idea about their usage and then they are charged a hefty sum. This is clear cheating and is unacceptable. I wish to take this matter to the highest authority and make sure nobody else falls prey to their low principles.
I called up airtel's nodal officer and raised another complaint ( SR # : 41311854 ) on the 29th and the representative said she is escalating this matter and the expected resolution date will be 3rd of January and my services will be barred till then. This by far is the most pathetic thing I had ever heard in my life, It's holiday time, you haven't even investigated the issue and you are punishing me in advance by barring my services? After a lot of hassle I finally spoke to her manager who re-instated my services till the issue was being investigated. I didn't hear from them till the 5th of January and had to call the Nodal office back. This time the gentleman (Nitin) hung up on me as soon as I asked him what was going on, As per industry laws this calls for termination. I had to redial and happened to speak to the same gentleman again who proudly informed me that they've finished investigating the matter and all the charges were valid and there is anything anyone can do about it No matter how fraudulent airtel's billing system is. I am so enraged by this pathetic experience that I'm planning to write a letter to TRAI and seek legal advice if this matter isn't resolved at the earliest. If Airtel's promoters ever read this letter I want you guys to know that being fair never hurt anybody and despoiling your own customers by unfair means will never take you further.

Complaint for extra bill charged- Airtel Postpaid Dear Sir/Madam
I am forced to write this complaint out of utter frustration and a hell lot of inconvenience. It is regarding my airtel postpaid mobile number 9893290721 which I have been using since last 5 years form last 3month I have been charged about 430rupees of value added service ,I haven't requested for that service that they are saying that I have started that when I have asked that kind of service is been activated in my number then they are not been able to tell me that what service I was using from last three month.
Just deduct the amount you have been charging without any reference to my number, that service is activated from your side so refund me the amount or deduct it form current bill.
you have been charging me for that from last 3 month from december 2011 to feburary 2012.
