    Thumbs down A bad IDEA to have IDEA 3G...

    Dear Sir / Madam,

    I am using IDEA Connection almost since last 1+ years. My No. is 9594909009. Till now I was having impression that IDEA is a very clean service provider, there is no hidden charge in IDEA and their services are also very good. I really felt shocked after facing this GPRS charges problem 2nd time from IDEA.


    Recently I have purchased new mobile and thought of getting 3G services activated on my IDEA number, After getting the information from IDEA Customer Care (CC). I did sent an SMS ACT3G29 to get the 3G service activated where monthly rental would be Rs. 29/- and usage charges would be 1p/10KB keeping above charge in mind, I started using GPRS service of IDEA, but suddenly on 23-12-2011 my bill cycle date, I get to know that my bill amount is Rs. 981.64 after just using 93 MB in 3 Days i.e. from 20-Dec to 22-Dec.
    I than registered a complaint with IDEA CC and the complaint number given was 19769528 after couple of days I receive a sms stating the complaint has been closed. I than called up IDEA CC and spoke to Mr. Rakesh singh at 27-12-2011 around 10.45PM, To my surprise I was informed that my complaint was closed stating that My alternate number was not reachable (This is infact a FAKE Status, Vodafone has full coverage at my office as well as my home), Also the solution stated that GPRS charges calculated are correct without giving any logical calculation on how the charges are calculated. When I asked the executive to re-open the case he straight away refused to reopen the case or register a new case for the same issue. He just kept repeating that I need to send a mail on care.mumbai@idea.adityabirla.com to get the any information on the complaint registered.
    Also per information given by Mr Rakesh Singh, My 3G service with Rs. 29 rental was activated at 13.10 on Dec 21 and 33MB download was done after 16:13 on Dec 21... So considering the charges as 1p/10KB I should be charged Rs.34 approximately, and if my 3G plan was not activated than i should be the charged at 10p/10KB than the charges should be Rs.350 approximately and not Rs.699 for just the usage of maximum 33MB.
    So, I Finally wrote a mail to care.mumbai@idea.adityabirla.com on Tue, 27 Dec 2011 23:54:21 +0530. But till the time this complaint is registered, I have not got any reply /call back from IDEA.
    I need your help to resolve this issue at the earliest, As this is a simple case of fraud and I demand to be reimbursed.

    Default A Stupid Reply from a Stupid IDEA Customer Care..

    Marked in BOLD Blue is the response from IDEA Complaint Team, This is a new twist to the whole story as the executive says i have been charged at 5ps/10 KB, So this bring a whole to turn.. If thats the case than i should be charged Rs.174/- instead of Rs.700/-..

    Now the so called IDEA Customer care teams advises me to visit the nearest my IDEA Store...

    I simply dont understand, Why do i need to go to MY IDEA and waste my time explaining entire situation to the new executive.

    This inturns proves that IDEA has now started a whole new business to earn money by cheating wiht loyal IDEA Customers!!!

So considering the charges as 1p/10KB i should be charged Rs.34 approximately, And if my 3G plan was not activated than i shoukd be the charged at 10p/10KB than the charges should be Rs.350 approximately and not Rs.699 for just the usage of maximum 33MB.


    Request you to please clarify the charges calculated, reconsidered the amount charged and resend me the correct bill. So i can mae the payment for the same.

    Please ensure this request is closed with a proper solution to.avoid any complication going further..

    Angry Useless nodal officer - idea mumbai!!!

    This IDEA Executives are just there to close the complaints rather than giving the solution, THIS TIME THE NODAL OFFICER CLOSES THE REQUEST STATING THAT I COULD NOT BE CONTACT, Wherein i was never contacted by any IDEA Staff...

    This is totally BULLSHIT, I am now loosing my temper, I Hope that there is someone out here on this website to help me get my hard earned money back for the CHEATER having BRAND NAME : IDEA CELLULAR.

    I would like to request you to please clarify the below queries that i have with regards to my bill.
    1. If my 3G is activated on 21-Dec-2011 13:10 than, How can I be charged as 5ps/10KB whereas the plan i have opted Rate Cutter plan which says 1p/10KB and monthly rental of Rs.29/- (Refer: IDE 3G Rate Cutter Plan)
    2. If I consider that if have been charged for GPRS at 5p/10KB and I have used 34994.94 KB on 21- Dec-2011 16:13:10 than the charges should be Rs.174.29 and not Rs. 699.90/-.
    3. If I consider that I have been charged for 3G at 1p/10KB and I have used 34994.94 KB on 21- Dec-2011 16:13:10 than the charges should be Rs.34.85 and not Rs. 699.90/-
    Please refer the usage charges marked in RED in below snapshot, I have been charged at almost double rate than actuals..
