    Default Harassment by Airtel recovery agents



    Hi All,
    I have been using Airtel postpaid for the last 3 months. The first two months the billing was quite normal but the third month the bill really shooted up to 10,000. I have been asking them for the clarification since I really think its a case of misbilling to me and a mistake had been done from Airtel's end.They are not ready to give me the clarification for the same. They say that they cannot give a proof that I have used the bytes which they have indicated on the bill. Ontop of that, the Airtel recovery agents have been continuously harassing me. They are threatening to come to my relative's house and abuse them also . In case I dont pay up the money. The bill is a corporate connection and the address is in the company's name. The person's name who is harassing me is Mr Ramaappa. His phone number is 09945119291.

    I want to go the consumer court to sort this issue out. Please let me know whats the procedure for the same.

    Default Harassment by Airtel recovery agents

    Hello,

    My no was 9662052422. my bill amount is incredibly increased by some issue. i called numerous time to customer care to stop but they also didn't response. I went airtel office also but they also didn't help. Now some agents are harassing all my family members. i really dont know why they are doing like this....

    Please help.....

    Default Harrasment by airtel recovery agent

    I was with an airtel pospaid plan for 3 years( corporate plan) 9500991268 and paying all my bills regularly. I was to relocate to delhi on my transfer to coimbatore, and so I had requested to port my number to delhi, so I could use it here too. However, when I saw the bill it was for an exorbitant amount( because roaming charges were made on calls). I insisted that I would not be able to make the full payment because the billing was wrong. However the recovery agent was so rude that he insisted I made the full payment immediately. He continued to harass me by making call and office hours. Later he started calling my family( Dont know how airtel can make such calls) and friends and tried to tarnish my image. But the limit crossed when they called up my dad who is bed ridden and insisted that he tell me to make payment or make it himself, otherwise case will be filed against me. He one by one called up my friends and relative , even business associates who dealt with us regularly. This is sheer violation of privacy and mental harrasement. I cant believe that personal information ( Calls and Names) are being used to harrass people and extort money .

    Hi,

    This is to report an issue of harassment calls from Airtel. I owned an Airtel # 9910622700. I was a regular bill payer of this number.
    But somehow was not able to pay my last bill which was for around Rs.8000.
    I requested the agent who was calling me to allow me to settle the bill in installments but he was just not ready to listen..I was told to pay the whole amount the very day else, they will use other evil ways to recover the amount. They have been forcing me to pay the bills and threatening me to bear the consequences.
    They call me at odd hours and say that they will come in my area and will insult me infront of everyone.
    They dont have manners to talk to a girls..

    They have started calling my contacts and spreading rumors, they called my friends and realtives and threatened them as well.
    This is violation of my privacy and someone is misusing my contacts. When I agreed to pay the amount, then I don’t find a reason for being harassed.

    I received threat calls from : 9717871119, the representatives keep calling my friends and relatives and other contacts in my bill and make cock and bull story and tarnish my image, this is completely unethical .
    This is sheer violation of privacy and mental harrasement. I cant believe that personal information ( Calls and Names) are being used to harrass people and extort money .This type of harassment is totally against law.

    I made a payment of Rs.4000 on 19-01-2012. and informed the agent that i will pay the balance amount next month.But the agent did not listen to me moreover he started threatning me that he will start calling up my contacts again and will make false stories to them . The agent was using abusive languages and was talking in a very rude way..

    I even called up Mr.Ashok Malik (Asst. Manager- Retention 8860185866) in regards to the letter which i recieved from Airtel via email.
    I dont think he was an assistant manager because the way he was talking was not at all expected from an Airtel Manager..
    He paid a deaf ear to me and disconnected the call .

    The agent who is continiously harrasing me is Mr.Amit Kumar 9717871119..He keeps calling me at odd hours and threatens me that he will pass my current number (the number which im using now) to odd people and they will keep bugging me.
    I am very tensed about it and this is completely mental harrasement ...

    PS - Im continiously getting calls from 9717871119,011=40660019,8860185866

    Default Harassment by Airtel Recovery Guys!

    Hi Rakesh,

    My Name is Neil and i am currently out of the country, my wife had an Airtel number and she joined me a few months earlier, before moving she had requested for a number closure, now the friends we had in Bangalore are being called and harassed for some payment that is huge amount. they are saying they are calling from courier companies, from police stations, from Airtel office, from lawyer's office and what not. they are just friends and trust me they will not pay anything even if somebody goes to their house and moreso they are least bothered about it as they have nothing to do with this issue. it is just that they informed us about this as a courtesy sake. please stop this harassment as you guys are only creating problems for yourself.
    my Wife's number was 9980606209.
    if there is an amicable solution we can come to let me know or else i can very well just claim i dont know anything or have anything to do with airtel.
