    Exclamation Airtel: 3G activated without consent and billing problems arising thereafter

    3G on my two numbers activated without consent. This was confirmed to me by customer care. While this 3G was active, edge was discontinued. This happened for a week from 19th July to 26th July. 3G was finally deactivated and charges were reversed. But for this duration I was charged at full rate of edge- 30 p per 20 kb. Before all this I had 2gb plan for 98 was activated for many months. Customer care closed the case without understanding. Called again in a few days to check on the progress, found out the case was closed. Again opened a case. Again closed without understanding my issue. Finally on 3rd October one lady understood and diagnosed the issue as wrong provisioning of edge. I think she is by far the most intelligent lady in the airtel customer care division. On another number same billing issue was observed and I was given a resolution of rs. 3000 by customer care, which I took and the case was closed on that number, other number is 9805091666. I had made the full payment on this number and now I have rs 2400 as credit amount. Same deal was offered on this number, I didn't take the offer as I still stood to lose 1200. Now after about 50 days of first complaint the issue remain unresolved. And today I get a call saying I need to maje full payment or services will be barred. Why should I make a payment of 4500 when the billing was done by airtels mistake and again have a credit balance of a total of approximate 7000 with airtel on my two numbers. This has been a case of driving a customer nuts. I have spoken with appellate officer who had just forwarded the complaint to customer care and thereby has been ineffective. I have spoken with customer care guys who are obviously useless and finally to a supervisor who was bordering on being arrogant. In this entire issue one hhing clearly stands out is that the custome care guys have serious comprehension issues and that billing system is so computer driven that there is no scope for human logic. It also reeks of malpractice of activating a service without consent on both my numbers. This is what started the issue in the first place. I would actually wait to resolve this issue and port out to another service provider and wait for the call from airtel to come asking for the reason for porting out. That guy is going to be one unfortunate guy!My worry now is that the person who reads this at airtel is going to be more intelligent that the average customer care employee or the supervisor or is he / she going to more responsible that the appellate officer or not?

    27 ko trai ne 100 msg per sim ki restriction kar di , before that airtel 54 me 10000 per mnth deta tha, 500 per day , 2 nov ko trai ne restrictn 100 sms ki bjai 200 per day extend kar di. Bt airtel wale clever itne, 100 sms ke bad 1 rs per sms charge strt kr diya..matlb restrictn with money or u can say exploitatn, So clever they are ... Airtel plz stop exploiting consumers.. Plz
