I am having a prepaid mobile no. 9928218112 for the last three years.
Recently on Saturday, 8th Aug 2009, I got it recharged with Rs. 333 through
online banking a/c and make and received some calls on Saturday, Sunday, &
Monday. On Tuesday, 11th Aug 2009, I found the sim deactivated.

I called 121 for inquiry but they could not tell me anything more than that
it has been deactivated and asked to contact some Customer Relationship
Center for further details. I contacted Customer Relationship Center and ask
for re-activation or to provide me the proper reason for service
deactivation on Wednesday. They also told me that the sim has been
deactivated but could not provide the reason for it. One of the
representative tried to contact senior customer care representative over
their hotline number but the calls got dropped several times. They asked me
to contact them next day and assured to collect the details by then. When I
contacted them again, he told me that the sim has been disconnected due to
zero usage (Strange!!! while the sim was being used and having more than Rs.
300 balance, 4 months validity). He also arranged me to talk to some person
over his mobile and the person from other side replied that the number was
not being used and hence has been disconnected.

I agree that the number was not being used for last few months, but, it was
active till Tuesday, Aug 12th 2009 and at the point of time it was
deactivated, it was in use and having balance and validity both. Is is legal
and genuine to disconnect a phone in use with such a stupid reason. This
number was not a lifetime validity number, which are bound by such terms and
conditions which give the operator right to deactivate a sim in case on zero
usage for a period of time. This was a usual prepaid number and I had paid
for its validity and should not be disconnected even if not used until the
validity ends. Even, if I am wrong about this, it should have been
disconnected before it was recharged and actively used, but, I don't know if
any law provided them autonomy to deactivate a being used number having
talk-time and validity without intimating the customer in normal
circumstances.

I also send an email to nodal officer, Rajasthan (nodalofficer.raj@airtel.in)
complaining the matter and ask for information, but, surprisingly, didn't
receive an answer by now.

Isn't it a cheating with me by the "Bharti Airtel", which claims to be the
largest and most trusted mobile network in India.

balance and validity

Hello,

I am having a prepaid mobile connection for nearly last 3 years, and was
using it. However, due to some personal reasons, I didn't use it for some
months but started using it again since the last Friday, 7th Aug 2009. I
recharged it with Rs. 333/- on 8th Aug 2009 and also made and received some
calls upto Monday 10th Aug 2009.

On Tuesday, 11th Aug, it was found de-activated without any notification or
proper reason.

I contacted 121 and Customer Relationship Center at Sirsi Road, Jaipur but
could not get any useful information/solution.

Therefore, sir, you are urgently requested to please resolve the issue and
re-activate the number immediately. In case you have a valid reason to
de-activate the number, please reply me.

Regards,
