Airtel Charged 7000Rs extra in Monthly Mobile Bill Hi,
I have shifted to postpaid services from prepaid service in Airtel on 8-8-2011. I have sent them a following mail ::
I got Airtel eBill on August 24,2011 for the airtel number 9860336610. As per
the bill statement the amount of the bill is 7177.11Rs for the date 08/08/2011
to 19/08/2011.
I have following plans activated on my number since I am postpaid user;
combat-ii plan fixed charge-mh
gprs 2gb free@30p/50kb rental 98/-
I got above bill because of GPRS usage didn't deducted from the respected bill.
The total GPRS usage for the bill period are 1853558Kb which means 1.76769GB
which is less than 2GB (I already activated monthly GPRS plan for 2GB) comes in
monthly free plan. But still I can see that airtel charged 11133.00Rs for the
1.76GB which is not done.

P.F : I have attached the bill along with this mail and the password for
opening the bill is mtc5
They replied to this mail like they are giving only 50KB Free Per month on 98GPRS Plan but as it is 2GB as per my plan details. Here is her reply :

Monthly Rental: Rs. 98/- (Prorate)
Browsing Charges
50 KB Free/Month
Usage above 50 KB will be charged at 30p per KB.
Download Charges- Applicable as per the content you wish to download.
We would like to inform you that an advice of charge is always mentioned along with any content available for download from any website. We request you to take an informed decision to download any content, post checking the advice of charge.
We like to inform you that the monthly rental and download charges for the services would be charged on prorated basis.
On receipt of your concern, we reviewed your bill dated 21-08-2011 and have verified the charges levied in your bill. There appears to be no overcharging in your account. We would like to assure you that we have deployed a state of the art billing system which ensures that your bill is always error free.

I like to file a complaint regarding the information stated above. Really i am pissed off by the way their automated replies and getting stressed by the way they reply without understanding the problem or replying to the points asked. My billing is still unpaid and i have informed them in my emails to them that it will not pay until i get a valid reply from them.
