    Hi,
    This is regarding the issue I faced almost an year ago with an airtel number 9007028833. I had a lot of interactions with a number of airtel representatives. I has conversations with the each represenative from the begining of the issue and every time I had to explain the offers that I had been promised. The last conversation I had was in November where the representative accepted the flaw in the bill generation and mentioned that the bill had been generated on the number of minutes of usage which was incorrect. Well I have not heard from them since then so I assume there is no pending bill from my side that I have to pay.

    Hi,
    My alternative contact number is 9886101654. I already mentioned the flaw is in the bill generation where the number of minutes of internet usage was charged which is the wrong process. We should be charged the amount of data that has been used and not number of minutes that we are using. Request you to go through the whole history before calling up. I have had a word with your representative in the month of November last year and he accepted that there is a flaw in the bill generation. I still want to pay the bill credit limit i.e. 3000 and close the case.

    Hi,
    I am using the airtel number 9611195656 since some time now. I opted for a plan where i get 1gb of internet usage free for the first month, and some call discounts,however i got a msg from airtel stating that i have a bill of 18,000. when i called up the customer care, thy said me that i internet discounts are not include in the bill, however you will get the exact amount info when your bill get generated. and after some days i got a call from airtel. stating that i have crossed my credit limit, so your number will be barred, to avoid you need to pay 8000rs. however when i checked on my billed date, they say that i need to pay 6400, which is includes my internet discounts,and they say that, i have used more than 1Gb,so after discounts of 13500, you need pay the rest amount 6400rs.however they have not notified me that iam crossing my 1Gb, or any information... Please help me identify the way out to settle this

    Question Airtel bill exceeding the limit & not notified

    Hi,

    This is regarding the bill#10,018/- generated for the phone number 9741411779.

    My credit limit was 2400 and did not notify when it crossed. Personally this was my max limit for the monthly phone expenses and so far it on average it never crossed 700/-.
    Did requested international roaming activation and used max of 6days (33.31 min outgoing & 5:22min incoming). 11-Dec-2011 is the last call I used and 12-Dec-2011 early morning arrived India.

    • To my surprise on 13-Dec-2011 received SMS saying that outstanding bill is ~4,500/- . Did start conversation with Airtel customer care immediately. Airtel did mention the bill for all calls used in roaming and did mention “Sir, you can discuss about this when bill is generated”.
    • One more surprise on 16-Dec-2011 received SMS saying that outstanding bill is ~8,500/-. Airtel did repeat the same story.

    Raised complaint for waving-off the excess bill for which I am not responsible.

    As a responsible person I did pay 2,400 (which is max credit limit) paid on-time in Jan-2012. Waiting from Customer care, still no action taken.

    Got one more surprise on 01-Feb-2012 received SMS saying “Your credit limit increased to 5,000/-“ without my request & acknowledgment. Did again requested customer care to revert back credit limit to 2,400/- & wave-off the bill, which I am not responsible, no action taken.

    In spite of taking action, they did disconnect my mobile number with SIM unregistering. Did requested customer care again by mail for waving-off the bill, SIM card re-registration and activation after paying Feb-2012 Bill, that was 419/-.

    Got mail from Airtel saying that it is clear usage with below reasons and you need to pay it. And these things are not notified when I requested for the international roaming.
    • Airtel will only intimate credit limit notification when it is used in India. [My Comment] After two months discussion, now they are saying this point. If I get to know this early, I am sure I could have not used.
    • International roaming the minimum credit limit set for the roaming customer will be 5000 [My Comment] Credit limit is increased from 2,400 to 5,000 in 1-Feb-2012 which is after 50 days my return from abroad without any notification to me.

    Hi Deepa,

    I appritiate your prompt repsonse on the issue. Below is mentioned some leads in case you want to look at the history of the case. Also thanks a lot for confirming the discconection of the number.



    1. Airtel promised to give me 2gb per month free gprs pack for 1 year and not 512mb per month.

    2. My bill limit was ~1200 so why was not I notified when it exceeded the limits if your software is having a limitation its not a responsibility of customer to bare the pain.



    Comming back to the bill of ~13000 which was generated for the GPRS can you check the usage of the data? The last time I had a conversation with your representative he agreed that there was flaw in the bill generation as the billing was done for the minutes of internet usage and not on the amount of data used. I dont understand why dont guys maintain a log of the representatives interaction with the customers so that we do not have to go back in history each time we reply to a new represenative.



    I am ready to pay the credit limit of the number and settle the case. Please let me know if any other detail is required.
