Subject : Monthly Bill of last three months and of AIRTEL connection
Dear Sir,
I am working as Professor in Electronics and communications in reputed Engineering
College at Pune and I am using the above said connection post paid connection for
last 11 years without any complaints from my side as well as non payment of bills
from AIRTEL side.
I know that AIRTEL is a very well known service provider for mobile communications
all over the world. However, the incidences which happened with me may loose your
reputation amongst common people like me which will hamper your progress not only in
India but across the Globe. I am confident about my statement because I have seen
many people complaining about the same in you relationship offices many a times.
Before I wrote about my complaints let me tell you that I am no more using the above
said connection and I will never recommend anybody to use AIRTEL for communication
throughout my life.
I would like to bring to your kind notice about my following complaints against
monthly mobile bills of last three months.
3. Monthly bill of period 5 April 2009 to 4 May 2009 :
Amount of Rs. 175/- have been charged for MMS. However, believe me neither I know
how to do MMS nor I have done any MMS from my mobile. This matter has been already
notified to your Nodal Officer as well as in the Office of Tilak Road, Pune. The
answer given was “It happens automatically through your mobile because of some
viruses”.
Without asking any further questions I paid the bill and request the Nodal Officer
to cancel the MMS facility from my mobile. Accordingly he dose the same I have got
the message of cancellation of MMS facility.
4. Monthly bill of period 5th May 2009 to 4th June 2009 :
Inspite of cancellation of MMS facility, again I have been charged for Rs.250/- for
sending MMS. Again I informed your Nodal Officer regarding the same. The answer
given was again same.
Even if I agree that there is a fault in my handset (because of some virus) how come
my MMS facility gets activated at your site in spite of my specific instructions to
cancel the same? Is it not the problem of your system? Kindly let me know.
This time the MMS charged were also International MMS. I never used MMS facility and
also I don’t know how to use it. I don’t know how come your systems are giving such
a kind of bill. The international numbers mentioned in the bill are also not
correct.
According to the statement along with the bill of 5th May 2009 to 4th June 2009 the
MMS charged are from 14th March to 24th April 2009. As they have already charged me
for the same in last bill and there is no dues pending from my side, How come they
can charge me for the months of March and April in the month of June?
I am getting this hardcopy of bill for last couple of months and I found that I have
been charged heavily with not only for number of calls made also with respect to
MMS, ISD, etc. I am using this particular number for last 11 years with the
understanding and faith in AIRTEL system. However last couple of months I am loosing
the faith in their transparency and therefore I am going to cancel my connection
immediately. The responses given by the Nodal Officers, PROs and AIRTEL online
customer care personnel for last couple of months were very poor, rude and not
satisfactory which is another reason which forces me to cancel this connection.
I have already cancelled the connection and also I have not paid the bills for which
I do not agree upon. I will not pay any bill unless they clarify the above matters.
Kindly look into the case and guide me.
Thanking you.
Yours faithfully
Suresh Mali
