False Billing and harassment by Airtel Hi,
This is a serious complaint against Airtel regarding billing me falsely for my Mobile number 9591258007.
I had a 2GB free data usage plan for 6 months active on a service charge of 300 Rs. from 01-Dec-2010 to 31-may-2011. But what fraud they did was to deactivate and reactivate this plan in the month of February 2011 and charging me twice for the same service. Also for that month my total data usage was 600 MB (as in the itemized bill) out of free 2GB available but I was charged approximately Rs. 2500 extra for data usage. After repeated complaints they deducted 200 Rs. from the total amount but they didn't give me any explanation for falsely charging me for data usage.
Then I didn't agree to pay the bill until I had an explanation for this billing fraud. Airtel representatives started harassing me over emails and phone calls and also they started calling my friends and relatives for payment of the bill which totally violates my rights to privacy and it should be considered as a serious offence to customer data privacy and misuse of my personal data. After so much harassment, I finally paid the amount as they started threatening me and my friends.
Please do something about this case and set an example for these people so that they would feel shame and fear before doing this kind of sham, harassment and consumer rights violation.
