    Exclamation Misleading Customers and Harassing for Bill Payment for unresolved issues - Airtel

    Complaint No: 36722670 Dated 7th April
    I had migrated to Airtel recently, and requested for activation of GPRS pack as my email usage is high. I had started usage only after I received a confirmation of activation of the same from Airtel.

    To my surprise, I was charged for the GPRS Pack and for the usage as well in spite of it being within limits of the pack.

    I called up the customer care, and they confirmed that the charge was levied as the phone was configured through Airtel GPRS and not Mobile office, Further, airtel confirmed that they have put in a request for reversal of the charge as I was not informed of the same. Complaint Number 36722670.

    This phone is being used by my wife, and To my disappointment, airtel has been repeatedly calling up and harassing her to pay the bill, I have received another call today, insisting on paying these undue charges as well for the concerned number. I have considered changing my service provider however the same cannot be done without bearing these undue charges.

    Copy of the Bill is attached where I have clearly been charged for both 'GPRS Pack' as well as 'Mobile Internet'.

    Further, the cellular operator should not be allowed to harness the customer for bill payment on account of any unresolved issues on their part and there should be an upper limit to the number of phone calls/reminders.

    Angry Wrongly Charged abt 12months.....

    Dear Sir,

    This is to inform you that I Sri Swarup Debnath is a customer of yours having mobile no-9678010025 from last 3-4 yrs. Unfortunately last Feb'11, I discovered an error in my bill which was regarding mobile office (GPRS). They had been charging the rent of MO(GPRS) @ Rs-299.00 from last 1 year whereas I had already made a request to disconnect the facility through my personal visit to your Airtel Outlet at Nagaon. Actly the problem was started because of non availability of physical bill as I had complain against it so many times. Hence I was forced to pay the billing amount only seeing the sms. Regarding this issue I had made so many complaint but there was no result. My request is to check whether I had used the facility(MO) within the mentioned period or not? Hope you don't assume me as a fool as I had the facility, I was not used it. For the sake of work, every time your people asking me to give the one year old complain no. As I rightly told you that I had made the complain through physical visit, I hadn't any complain no.
    Hope you will feel my pain and take some necessary action to adjust my lien amount so that I can pay the balance part and enjoy Airtel without any interruption.
    Please make our life smooth as I don't want to take any further necessary action.

    Default Airtel Billing issues and complaints

    Hello,

    This is about a billing issue I am facing from Airtel from past 2 to 3 months. Here they say my credit limit is Rs 6000 and they gave me a bill of more than Rs 10000, not sure how it happened. Also in that bill of 10000, it is around 8000 for data usage charges. Not sure how that charge can be even though I activate and use GPRS for all the 3 months. I asked for clarification in the outlet and they were unable to answer this. Even though I tried to make payment, they were least bothered to accept it at the store. I have changed the number now because they were keep on neglecting. They are sharing the personal details of mine and also calling me to harassment. I am still ready to make payment, but, I need it to be negotiated. I can assure that there is something wrong in their billing system. I have seen similar kind of complaints about Airtel in a lot of forums and so I am sure about that. Please email me at vancheeswaren@gmail.com after negotiation.
