Hi,

My mobile billing cycle is 25th of each month. On december 23rd 2010, I had called up vodafone Customer care to deactivate my Vodafone Mobile Connect. I was assured of the same that it will be done and I won't be charged the rental for it in my Dec-jan bill onwards.

However, As I was keeping a track of the calls I made and the outstanding being generated, I felt that on the final day of the bill cycle, I got an inflated bill which had increased by around 250 rupees when I had hardly made any calls and my rental was only 50 rupees. Plus I was suppose to get discounts on sms as part of my scheme.

When I called up Vodafone Customer care on 26th Jan and they told me to call back on 28th Jan as their system had not been updated. When i did call them on 28th Jan, I came to know that I had been charged for Rs 99 rental (Plus Rs 11 Service tax) for VMC even though I had de-activated it on 23rd December. They assurred me that the rental charged would be refunded back to my account in my next bill. I agreed to that and paid the bill.

However I was again charged the rental for VMC in my Feb bill. Though my bill shows reversal of Rs. 99 (But service tax charged was not reversed), I have still again been charged Rs 99 plus Service tax for VMC. On calling up Vodafone Customer Care on 28th Feb, the Customer Care executive told me since my service was deactivated on 29th Jan, it has been charged to me for the billing cycle of Jan to feb.

After explaining to him that my VMC should have been de-active from december itself and not on Jan 29th 2011, he accepted the fault and took down a complaint about the billing and told me that their representative will get back to me to solve my problem by 14th March. This I was given on 11th March 2011. SR No. 1036293520

I had even written an email to vodafone customer care on 28th of Feb 2011 about the billing issue and till date no one has called me back or done anything about the reversal.

In addition to this, I have started getting sms from Vodafone to pay my bills in order to maintain a healthy Credit history. This is really threats been given by a telecom company.

What nonsense is this? Why should I pay when firstly Vodafone didn't rectify the problem in totality and in addition to that have not even bothered to call me back and respond to my billing issues.

I have maintained a recording or my voice conversation with vodafone, plus the email I have sent and the vodafone request Numbers. Plus I am sure even Vodafone will be having call records of my conversations with their executives.

So does Vodafone want me to file an official complaint in the consumer court and sue them ?; because I am really loosing my patience.
