Dear Consumer Court,
I'm working in TATA Consultancy Services(TCS)
chennai. I'm using Airtel postpaid number for my mobile. I have the
following features in my TCS - Corporate package in my Airtel number.
a) 600 minutes Mobile to Mobile free - any mobile in Tamilnadu
b) Unlimited CUG - If I talk within TCS employees who holds
corporate account its unlimited free.
c) 5000 local and National SMS free at Rs. 50/-
I used to talk with my father and my mother(Both are TCS - corporate
numbers- so all calls are free) and every month my Mobile Bill never cross
350rs. Please see the Bill History of my number 9789984638
It is clearly seen that my bill never crosses 300 for a month.
Problem created By Airtel:
For Every Call they are calculating the Cost for it and they account a
Bill called "Unbilled Amount" which came around 1956 rs for this month
till today. They also mention that , this unbilled amount does not include
Rent and Discounts and CUG calls. After Discounts and free mins my Bill
will not even cross Rs.300 per month. But Airtel wants me to pay interim
payment of Rs.1000 towards unbilled amount. This is truly disappointing.
They are threatening that Line will be disconnected if I dont make this
interim Payment.
1) How can they say the CUG calls are unlimited free and later ask me to
pay interim payment without reducing the free calls from unbilled amount?
2) If my Bill never crosses 300/- why should I pay unnecessarily Rs.1000?
3) Every Month my unbilled amount may cross even 4000 but even then my
Bill will be less than 300 only because every call that I make is to my
CUG and within my free calls.
4) If I mail Airtel regarding the same , their reply is that they would
disconnect the Line if I dont make interim payment. Please see the below
mail replies from Airtel.
5) If Airtel needs money, then it should calculate the bill after making
all discounts and free mins and CUG calls and then should ask the true
amount of money. Daily they are giving a warning call regarding this..This
is truly cheating the customer.
6) This is truly disturbing my work and I'm planning to get help from
consumer court. If they disconnect my number I will lose many important
incoming calls in my workplace and also wont be able to talk to my family.
7) In the last two years I have never missed paying my Mobile Bill. I'm
sure am a good customer to Airtel. But they are really disappointing this
month.
Please do take this mail as a complaint mail and ask Airtel to give me a
Reason to ask for extra money and also for cheating customer that "CUG
calls are Unlimited Free." If CUG calls are unlimited free then why should
my Number be disconnected ??? Please help me in this regard
Thanks

Its really funny to read the below mail I want to know one simple Logic.
What do you mean by Unlimited CUG free and how a free call will account
for credit Limit and how I can pay for free calls
Ok another fun here is I have never got a bill more than 350rs (INR) a
month in my Airtel usage History.
Fine if you want to disconnect the number then accept that you are
cheating the customer with the Unlimited CUG feature.
If so how can you take CUG calls and freebies for credit limit and
disconnect an account.
If Airtel wants to cheat TCS employees with these kind of stories then am
not sure whether I would move to consumer court for the same and also take
this issue to the whole TCS employees using TCS - Corporate package...
Now you want money from me if so calculate the Billed amount and show me
that my Billed amount exceeds the credit limit I will throw the money at
your desk next minute.
Thanks
Mano
