    Default Airtel Billing

    Hi

    Has any one of you noticed that Airtel issues faulty bills. I have
    had this experience twice. Once there was a dispute of rs 4 /- (well
    that is a petty amount - But still poses a major distrust in its
    billing. I argued and got that deducted) and another occassion
    (which I am undergoing now) airtel imposed about Rs 50 towards sms
    dialed to landline BSNL number (ever heard of BSNL phones receiving
    SMS ?) Also a top up of rs 25 on 100 free SMS which I never
    solicited. Airtel instead of solving the problem despite my repeated
    calls and emails to the costumer service(!!!) group did the following
    1) First levied late fee and asked me to pay the wrong amount
    2) When I objected the wrong amount & late fee (the delay is purely
    because of them not being able to resolve the problem), they
    disconnected the line :-) with out my notice
    3) When I objected that as well, sent me a letter with additional
    late fee :-) and a warning of legal proceedings :-))
    4) When I contacted the number given in the letter, the lady asked
    me in a sweet voice "CAn you please tell us the problem you are
    facing ?" (Ram kahani started all over again :-) )

    I dont know some time back they printed "100% bill accuracy
    guarenteed" on the covers. I guess that should be printed in next
    edition of the Joke Books :-))
