Dear Sir/Mam
This is a complaint against collection dpt. of airtel for non payment of Rs.300 on a Rs.800 bill. The phone is used by my father Mr.Bharat Bhushan - 9871008598. The bill was raised in first week of june and we paid Rs.500/- in the a/c. Now we get calls every day from Airtel for balance payment. This is normal collection procedure we understand.
However today we received a call from an executive called Anupam asking for the payment. I answered the phone saying it the balance will be paid in a few days. You need not bother. Pls update your system and avoid calling every day, saving time for both the parties. He refused upfront saying it cant be done we will do it unless you pay. Still understandable, calls are system generated these reps are helpless.
After 10 minutes of this call i received another call from an executive called Kaushal asking for the payment. I told him about the last call just 10 mins back. He said "this will happen till you pay". I asked every 10 mins you will call. His reply was yes.
I asked him to disconnect this service permanently and put it in your system. We dont want airtel any more. His reply was "jab salon paise nahi hote toh connection kyun lete ho." Is this way to talk. It resulted in an abusive conversation both ways.
If we are threatened of harassment every 10 minutes for mere Rs.300/- we do not want the connection. I wish to go to consumer court.
The collection agency or center is based out of Gurgaon. The phone numbers of these callers are as follows :-
Anupam : 0124 480 9400.
Kaushal : 0124 480 9200.
Now as i am writing i received another call from 0124 480 9800. No one spoke from the other end for 17 seconds. Environment noise was audible.
Pls advice and take my complaint further.
