    Angry Complaint against Idea cellular for incorrect balance deduction and cheeting

    Respected Madam/Sir,
    I have been using Idea prepaid mobile connection for last 5 years.
    I recharged my account on 21st June 2010 for Rs:350, with full talk time and I had a balance of aproximately Rs:400.
    After recharge I made only one or two call which charges less than Rs:20.

    My complaint is for incorrect balance deduction from my prepaid account.
    On 22nd June 2010 06:50 AM I got a service message from the service provider that
    "Your account has been deducted Rs:149 for ringtone download". Immediately I called to
    the customer care (call charges 50p/3min) and as per the customer care representative
    there is no duduction showing on their system from the account at this point of time and asked me to
    call again after 4 hours. Even if their system is not showing this amount the balance was showing the amount
    aproximately Rs:260. That means without making a call or without using my mobile an amound of Rs:149 is deducted, which is not event showing on the service providers system.

    As I am a working professional I could not able to call them exactly after 4 hours due to my busy schedules.
    But I called them after 12 or 13 hours after this balance deduction. As per the customer care representatives commitment,
    the amound must get reflected in their system by now. I was able to convince this representive about the deduction as below.
    1. I already had a balance of aproximately Rs60/- on 21st June 2010.
    2. Recharged with Rs:350 on 21st June 2010. Then the balance is around Rs: 410
    3. Only one call charged from my cell was for ~ Rs:13 at this point of time. (This was confirmed by the customer care representative)
    4. Now my account is showing only balance Rs:250/-
    5. Where does the rest of the amound gone (~150/-) ?????

    The representative was not sure where does this amount gone and he asked again for 4 hours -24 hours. The call was again with out any solution and their system was still not updated with this deduction and this representative again told me "it will take 4hours to update the system" which is the same answer I got from the them 12 hours back. I was ready to give them enough time.

    I called the customer care again after 24 hours (now it is morethan 36 hours since the deduction) and the story was same that their system is not showing this amount deduction but the deduction is showing on balance message coming on my cell. Since it was very difficult to convince the representative every time, I request to record a complaint to track the issue since I was feeling frustration to update every time a representative with the same story. The complaint serial number registered at the customer care was 1-9674447366 with an ETA of 12 hours 0 mins.

    Since every call to the customer care representative is chargable, I called the customer care after 24 hours. I direclty quoted the complaint serial number but representative again asked me to repeat the story and he just denied about the deduction. I asked him to tell me the chargable calls from my account, but he denied and his answer was the duduction was correct but he was never able to explain the details.
    They were not ready to give the call details and was never ready to give back my money.

    This makes me to raise this complaint and I am pleading here for justice and the right for the customer and a compensation for the frustration I beared and the time I lost running behind this + 149/- the amount which I lost. I request the majesty to enquire and penalize Idea cellular not to repeat this kind of unethical actions.

    Also I tried to raise the same complaint with TRAI but failed to find out a source. I will be greatful to the majesty to help me registering a complaint on same with TRAI against IDEA cellular.

    As of now I have the history of calls on my mobile and I can give it as a proof. But as I make more calls on my mobile the older history will be automatically removed. So I request to process this complaint as early as possible.

    Respected Madam/Sir,
    I have got a response from Idea cellular on 2nd July on the complaint posted earlier, asking customer's concern and informed that they are ready to revert back the amount which is deducted from the account now.

    1. As per Idea cellular the amount was deducted for international roaming rental charges.
    2. It is true that I got a call when I was in transit at Bankok Airport on 19th June 2010. But I was not able to hear anything and the call was blank and for attending this call an amount of 100 was charged at that point of time itself.
    3. I am not sure whether monthly rental charges are applicable to a prepaid customer or they cheated me again telling a story of international rental charges.
    4. But when I tried to make a call during international roaming, was giving a message "This facility is on hold". Then how idea can charge for international roaming?
    5. I have used international roaming almost 3 years back on the same connection and I was able to make calls outgoing aswell recieve calls and no rentals were applicable. Also I did not request for any plan changes so far.
    6. I am not sure how a monthly rental suddenly came in to picture which was not there earlier and the fascility got on hold.
    7. Even if they reverted back the amount charged for monthly rental for international roaming after I raised a complaint with customercourt, the frustration I suffered, the time I lost will remain unresolved here.

    Thumbs down Wrong Balance Deduction by Idea Cellular

    I am idea user from last 2 Yrs. I am literally tired of getting calls from idea & thousands of silly SMS. But when i realised that idea is deducting huge amount from my account. Being heavy user initially i didn't pay attention to balance after every call. Even if anybody check balance then also cant remember earlier/yesterday's balance.

    When I realised about deductions I immediately called idea customer care. Contacting idea customer care is more pathetic task. Finally i deactivated both 'VAS'. I tried to get justice from idea through e-mails, voice calls. But got very bad experience....

    This is further to huge amount deduction/theft from my account.
    Details of deductions are as bellow:

    Sr. #. VAS AUTO ACTIVATED ON DEACTIVATED BY ME TOTAL DAYS TOTAL AMOUNT.
    1. daily cricket pack : 12th April 2010 23rd July 2010 110 Days 110*5 =550/-
    2. monsoon bonanza contest : 16th June 2010 30th July 2010 45 Days 45*5 =225/-
    Total Amount : 775/-

    Above mentioned calculations clearly indicate that, Rs. 775/- has been deducted wrongly.
    (we can say “THEFT” for the same.)

    I HAVE AN E-MAIL FROM IDEA WHICH CLEARLY INDICATES ABOVE DETAILS ABOUT PERIOD.

    I wrote to idea, 'If you are not willing to refund said amount. Then keep this amount with you and loose 10 users forever. I will mail you list of those nos who will quit your service.That’s not all. I will fight for justice every possible source. ( Consumer Court, Media) Now its’ your decision….WHETHER TO CONTINUE OR LOOSE 10 USERS…!'

    Except getting a call from a lady. Idea did nothing.

    Default complain about idea net setter bill

    Respected Madam/Sir,
    I have taken idea net setter NUMBER 9756709456 connection on 15th may 1010.
    I was taking the 2gb plan @399rs/month.
    but the people working in kashipur idea office told me take unlimited plan
    they told as i am a new customer i will get 50% discount in first three month & i will have to pay only have to pay rs425/month inspite of 850rs/month for first 3 month
    they told me after 3 month i can change my plan to 2gb


    but sir i received d bill @850/month
    when i contacted idea office kashipur they told me this was due to some computer problem & they told me to come after 2days
    when again i went to idea office they told me they can do nothing
    they told me now the bill is generated and i will have to pay according to 850/month
    then i called up Mr. Gaurav the franchise head of idea kashipur
    he accepted that this is their fault , but told me as the bill is generated i will have to pay the bill

    i went to kashipur idea office continuously 7 days thinking they will help me..but they told me they can do nothing..
    then one of the idea office employ suggested me not to pay the bill because the idea can do nothing because this is their fault



    so i didn't submit the idea bill..
    they disconnected my connection on 6th july 2010
    now they are calling almost every day to submit the billed amount

    my right billing amount should be rs 900
    but they are asking for rs 2292

    today on 11th august 2010 some lawyer called me , he told me to submit the idea bill of 2210
    other wise idea will file a case against me..




    This makes me to raise this complaint and I am pleading here for justice and the right for the customer and a compensation for the frustration I beared and the time I lost running behind THIS. I request the majesty to enquire and penalize Idea cellular not to repeat this kind of unethical actions.

    I will be greatful to the majesty to help me registering a complaint on same with TRAI against IDEA cellular.

    Dear Sir,
    My idea no. is 9889717036. On 19 oct my balance in Rs 20 till 20 oct morning but after i make a local call of only 36 sec I found that after sometime my balance is Rs 5. I am shocked that 1paisa terriff is activated oon my number.
    Please solve this problem as soon as possible.

    On 6th feb. 2012 I got a massage from idea cellular that "your subsicriptionto pay per channel 1 is
    activated @ Rs 50 for 29 days. To de-actdial toll free 155223. Keyword APTC1."And the deducted Rs 50 from my account/balance.
    I surpriced that without making any request, how the idea deduct the balance. I called to the custmer care 12345. First the reprensentative told me that APTC1 HAS called them to activate service on my mobile number. I opposed that how you activate any services, in any mobile number, without the consent/request of the consumer. Please make an arrangement to refund my balance.
    He denied to refund and transefer my call to his senior officer, she also told me the same.
    Again I called after 5 hours, they both told me, that I made a request to the idea to activate the above service, I opposed, that whenever I know that my mobile set does not support the service so why I request you to activate the above service. But they not agreed. After sometimes I again called them,
    the senior officer told me that I am using 3G facility therefore the above services has been activated on my mobile number. I again surprised, I told himself that where (Bemetara,CG) i am living the 3G service of your company has not been started. He disconnected my call.
    Now finally I decided to go to your foot. Suggest me that what procedure I accept to recover my balance of Rs 50, from idea cellular.
