Dear Sir/Madam

I used the Reliance datacard(#9317723695) some two years back . I submitted my application for discontinuation during the billing cycle(19th may-18th June - 2008). I paid my last bill(19th May-18th june - 2008) on 2nd july - 2008 and got the NOC from the reliance webworld in panchkula sector 11

After two years, Today(1st June, 2010), I got a frightning call from High Court, Delhi(could be from recovery agents) and was told that a payment of Rs515 is due and a legal file is sent to court in this regard
And I could be summoned to court and may be required to pay aroung 12k in case I couldn't submit Rs515 by EOD

I checked with reliance circle office in chandigarh and they have neither maintained my application of dicontinuation nor the NoC copy
They said the bill of Rs515 is the bill from the 18th June(after last billing cycle) till 2nd july(when i paid my last month bill and got noc)

I wonder if I've I submitted my application of discontinuotion in 19May-18Jun 2008(during billing cycle), why am I required to pay from 18th June-2nd July(ideally my broadband services should be stopped by then)

Even if I am liable for this bill the
why the bill was not taken then only when i was issued Noc and paid my last bill
Why did not Reliance get in touch with me for bill collection and instead directly sent a legal file against me

Just to bring in your kind notice
I got a call from a courier company on 31th May. asking my current address. Their ph# is 9268575785
And the High court call came from the number 9268575780

Probably the threatning call from High Court and the courier company is from same place - could be Recovery agents(though not sure)


This is a sheer harassment that you get a call from High Court and told that you have not cleared your dues and may have to appear in Court (Not to mention I cleared all my bills and got Noc)
Though I have now paid Rs515 to reliance but I am surprised to see such a non professional and unethical behavior from their end
