Default Airtel harassment after charging a bill of 37k

    Hello

I have been a long standing customer of Airtel. I have been using my mobile number 988 07 98767 for around 5 years and have been satisfied with the service. Though I have a second phone with an other operator, I extensively use my airtel phone that my average bill is around 4000 rs. I travel abroad frequently and have used international roaming services with Airtel and also on my second phone multiple times. But during my last travel, I used Airtel phone in an emergency in Russia. I knew from the Airtel website that I would be charged around 100-200 rs / minute for the calls. But when I came back, I had huge shocks waiting from Airtel with an whooping bill of Rs. 35000.

I have two major issues with the bill, the credit limit in my account was supposed to be 13k. When I was roaming, I was atleast in a hope that my bill would be within that but unfortunately, lately your
executive told me that you exclude the roaming charges from the credit limit because of the work flow limitations between you and the partner networks. But how do you expect an end customer like me to expect such workflow limitations. It is totally unreasonable to say you will charge any amount of money to a customer without understanding the capacity and an unlimited liability information.

Also there were charges on the website which was in 100-200 range, but on my bill I saw ones upto 477rs and when I raised this as a complaint, airtel folks told me that for long distance calls, the
operator could charge an untold amount which I am liable to pay. Please understand that there has to be a transparency between the customer and the service provider on what and how much will be levied and there has to be an acceptance on the same.

It is insane when you say, you wont apply a credit limit on the account, and also when you say Airtel is not aware of the charges that could be levied by the partner carrier. The risk exposure is
unreasonable for an ordinary client like me. Are consumers liable to pay any amount raised by Airtel using untold call charges ?

Inspite of expressing my willingness to pay for all charges except for the Rs. 477/ min ones, and being in touch with three of their executives on a daily basis through the alternate number registered in their system, Airtel started calling all my known people from the outgoing call lists and damaging my reputation. This is really humiliating and is causing a mental torture for me.

I'm not willing for the game, I want to plead for justice for my issue with the justice body.

    Default Airtel harassment

    Hello Kind Sirs,

I am having similar problems with Airtel. I was using thier account and purchased blackberry services. I asked them to activite their unlimited blackberry plan for 299 per month, however they forgot to activate this billing plan and started charging me based on KB usage. My bill ran up to RS. 6000. I filed a complaint in thier call center and they did not heed to any of my complaints. I had to finally stop using my service with them. But now they keep calling me on thier alternate number and threating me that they will start calling my friends and family regarding this.

Is there no way we can stop this from Airtel. Why can't they resolve the issues rather than messing up like this.

Anyone who can help please call me at +919958859700.

    Regards

    Naresh
