I have been using Idea postpaid connection since last 6 months until this problem aroused I was a big fan of Idea.
I have 2 postpaid connections, lets say 9694081215 as A and 9694081216 as B under shared billing. On 23rd Nov, I lost SIM B, I called up customer care and asked them to bar the services as its lost. He registered the complaint and within an hour the services were barred. Later, I was not able to make my payment and they barred the services on SIM A as well. Fair enough. After a day or 2 I made my payment and got the services activated. I was using my phone as usual, one fine day, I thought of checking my usage for the month and found that it was much more than expected. I called up on my SIM B and found that it was working. I called customer care and he said that the services are active on SIM B, so I asked him to bar them again, and asked who requested to unbar the services, he had no answer, and asked me to visit the local office for further information. The next bill I got was Rs.1290, SIM A Rs.280 and the balance was for SIM B.
I went down to the office and explained them the whole problem and said that they will get the charges waived and opened and request. After 2 days I found that the request was declined. I asked them one question what if in same situation the SIM reaches in some wrong hands, the CC executive told me that its their responsibility.
Now Is it my fault that the services were unbarred on SIM B without any request. I don’t know when will I get the waiver. I will not pay anything unless the charges are waived. Can somebody please suggest what can I do legally regarding this, I'll be paying the rentals without using the services.
