    Default Legal notice by Vodafone despite making online payment

    I made online payment for my Vodafone connection and I am in possession of the transaction number as well besides the bank account details that show the bill having been paid. Despite explaining to their Customer care people, they kept harassing me by calling 10 times a day. They were extremely rude and kept telling me that nothing of the sort is showing in their SYSTEM. They stopped my incoming calls without any warning. I stopped using my that number. Today I have got a legal notice from them in which they are demanding the bill payment with high interest or else fight the court case.
    I really don't know how to handle this. The kind of mental trauma that these callers of these multinationals, subject us to is unmatched.

    I have given the transaction number to the person who was sent by VODAFONE to collect the 'supposed' to be 'outstanding amount'. But now they want my bank statement. Someone called up asking for the bank statement. I gave her the entire details of the transaction yet she was adamant that I need to give them the bank statement. What kind of harassment is this???? Just because it is India?

    Default Legal Notice by Vodafone eventhough the number was not used

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    At the time of Porting my no in Aug’2011 at Vodafone Store situated near Ghatkopar I was given one more Postpaid Number i.e 9833841117.

    I was not interested for the same but the Executive told that I have to take one more number for the purpose of Portability.

    After 2 months I had a word with the customer care executive and requested him to deactivate this number as I was not using this number.

    Since then I have never received the bill for the same. I thought that number has been deactivated.

    But it was not so even though I have requested to deactivate the number Bill was generated at your end for payable.

    Since then every month your executive are calling me and following for outstanding every time I have told same thing that this number has been deactivated. I have also registered complaint but there has been no action.

    In the month of May’12 one of your executive called me and told me that if I pay Rs.500 out of the outstanding then she will deactivate my number.

    I have agreed for the same and made a payment of Rs.500. Your Executive came at my residence to collect payment I was been assured by your customer care representative that number will be deactivated and there will be no future billing.

    But once again after 2 months the same scenario is repeating. I am getting fed up due to all this.

    Today I Have received your legal notice.

    Please help me out as there is no fault of my and i have been fooled by your customer care representative
