    Default Problems with Airtel Billing

    I visited China in August'09 for 4 days and in spite of very careful usage of Blackberry data services ( most of the time I used to keep my data services off ), Airtel has billed me for Rs. 54000 for 4 days of stay in China. I am chasing their Nodal officer for last 3 weeks now for the details but only reply am getting is that the charges are " valid " and I need to pay same. So many times they have de-activated my data services and outgoing calls but used to activate again after my submissions / explanations.

    So far they have not been able to give me any reply and to my surprise today they even barred my incoming calls and the message callers get is that " the number you have dialed does not exist ".

    This is the treatment Airtel gives to their 12 years old customer ? Customer who has been with Airtel for such a long time and all of a sudden he does not exists ??????????

    It gives an impression as if we are being extracted money by putting a gun ......either pay the amount or your number will be disconnected.

    Are we consumers don't have right to ask for the basis of the hefty amount being charged by these service providers ????????????

    Hope my message will go to the right person and will be guided suitably.

    I faced a similar kind of problem some time back. Ultimately changed my mobile service provider.

    Question Airtel Overcharge billing

    I (Mahesh kumar) am a customer of AIRTEL prepaid services from last 5 years having mobile no. 9810939307.AIRTEL has been deducting extra charge from my prepaid balance for using Airtel Live. I had used Airtel Live on 21st April 2011 at 10:40 PM for just 15 to 20 minutes then i had swithed off my phone to confirm that Airtel Live is disconnected from my phone. For this AIRTEL has charged around Rs. 600.

    I had talks with 2 different executives and they both did not answer to me properly why AIRTEL has deducted Rs. 600 for using Airtel LIVE service for just 15- 20 minutes.

    I am very much disappointed by their services, the unsupportive behavior of their customer care executives and the way they have ignored my problem completely. I would request the consumer forum to take the immediate action regarding this matter because it is possible that the same problem may be faced by some other customers. You are requested to consider my request and take appropriate action.

    Default one paise per second billing- Overcharging the service

    I have seen that even if i have spoken for just 28 seconds I am being charged for 31 seconds. This has been happening since I have recharged the card for per second billing services. Please advice how it can be taken forward.
    I observed that the airtel is charging me 1.2 paise per second without any intimation...

    As we connect to their Complaint line (198) there is no option to register the complaints . The customer care service is really irritating one.Whenevr asked for the Billing errors they are disconnecting the call.
    This has been happened trice ...... The worst customer care service......

    Please assist the way........
