I had purchased an IFb microwave 2 years back for rs 6400.00 from JP electronics borivili Mumbai. Within first three months of sparing usage I had problem with the fuse and 3 times more there after. What happened then was alarming, the company service personal changed the fuse with a filthy old fuse having a higher voltage all the 3 time. When I asked the service personal "why do you put a more powerful fuse won’t it short-circuit the other components”, I had a smiling warm “no” for an answer. The fact that the spoiled fuse was replaced by an older one was informed to Ifb appliance. (They never did a thing in this matter! except for an apology in a soft tone).

Now the warranty is over and after running into the same problem, I had to eventually call the same service personal to inform him that the problem has surfaced again, he promptly replied me over the phone that something called “megatron” is likely the cause even without having a look at it!! It looks like he had contemplated on it during the installation of the high voltage fuse. When he really came and checked it was indeed the megatron!! which cost around rs. 2500. He also offered rs 1000 to buy the microwave back from me to my amazement!!!! A 2 year old 6400 rupees microwave for 1000 rupees!!! A Very Good deal!!

It is this hide and seek right under my nose that has caused me to write this grievances. Now I have a useless microwave in my possession, which cost around 1000 rs in the service personals words.
