Hello,

Could someone please tell me, do we need to pay VAT on MRP?? or the MRP is inclusive of VAT?
I live in Mumbai and bought a 2L Cold-drink, Lays chips and some other stuff from a general store. When I asked for a proper bill, the shopkeeper asked me to pay 4% extra on the MRP. Kindly let me know if this was not a fraud.
