Hi,
I was using a reliance broadband connection for one month in the month July to Aug. Since i shifted my residence to another locality in chennai, my husbad had requested on 24th Aug 09 to reliance customer care to shift the same and deactivate the current line since we have vacated. Later we got a call from reliance stating the service was not available in that area and hence we cannot avail the service. We had then called up reliance and also sent them mails stating to confirm the deactivation status since the connection was not used at all and also to know where to surrender the instrument. after the surrender call, they called us back again and said "sir pl give us one week, we wil ensure that we wil give you the connection and make our service available". SO my husband told them that we donot require the service if the same is not given by them and also asked for confirmation of deactivation. One Customer care executive stated that the line is deactivated and no bill will be generated since the line was deactivated.
But to our shock, we have been getting bills for the last two months for almost Rs.700/- stating the usage for a non-existing connection. when my husband called up the customer care again, a representative said that the line was still active, but not sure if it was used. then we immediately sent many mails stating the same and asking them to look into it.
Its been a fortnight since my husband has been having this mental stress of calling them up everytime and their custoemr care says sir give us one week or 4 days we wil sort it ou. Now we have got another bill two days back...
How can they charge for something which doesnot even exist. In fact for the past two months we have even shifted our service provider. Moreover their customercare speak very rude to us, we have enough proof to state the same. Please let us know how to take it to the legal.
