Thailand will host an international conference Jan 23-25 to discuss the best ways to deal with and prevent outbreaks of the avian influenza.

About 400 scientists and health experts from 40 countries would attend the conference, at which more than 140 research programs and studies would be discussed, local newspaper The Nation said Monday.

The experts would also discuss latest developments and trends in bird flu treatment and prevention.
