yesterday I was shopping at Safeway, when I stood still in the freezer aisle waiting for my husband to come around from the other aisle. My back was facing the freezer side, and my 3 year son and shopping cart was next to me on the right, so with my Left leg I went to move the shopping cart back and my left leg slipped, when I slipped I went into a front split, almost all the way to the floor. I was able to get up, I went and complained to the asst manager about a few water puddles in the frozen food dept. I did file a complaint "just in case". Thats when one cashier and the store asst manager told me that the freezers had been defrosting. However, there were no warnings or wet floor signs up.
Do you think they should be liable? If so, do you think they should just have to pay for my medical bills? or more?
I couldnt have prevented it, cause I didnt see it. Plus when I took the asst manager back to show her, there was 4 puddles of water along, under the frozen food doors. I did contact an lawyer "just in case"
After I left the store, I did go to the ER to get checked out cause I was in more pain, its been more than 24 hrs now and I feel like a truck hit me.
