    Default Medical Shop - attitude

On Tuesday, I visited a medical shop known to have all medicines @ Chennai. The Doctor had prescribed 15 tablets of Gabantin 100mg, so I requested the same. However, he said that this medicine comes in strips of 10 each and he will give either 1 strip (10 tablets) or 2 strips (20 tablets) only. I was surprised at his response and told him that it will be a waste if more is given. They were very arrogant and finally, I had no option but to buy 2 strips.

I would suggest that the owner be advised against this attitude and practice as there are consumers who may not be finacially able to purchase in excess - as the shop keeper desires. Moreover, they should be made to understand the nobility of their line of business - related to health care. It is sad to see that this attitude is missing!

This is to bring into notice that Retail Chemist - 98.4, situated on main road Kalkaji, has a regular practice of selling the medicines only in quantity of One Foil ie, 10 tablets. The executives on shop REFUSE to sell medicine, if required quantity is less,
    1. Seller unnecessarily, bound the customer to buy excess medicine than the actual requirement of the patient . This is something like increasing/ pushing their sales/ profit, thru such an important commodity , where a customer is helpless .
