I have renewed my ICICI Lombard policy no 4034i/HIR/05000134/00/000, the payment of 43,631 rupees has been deducted from my credit card on 03-Nov-11.
When I didn’t received any documents against my renewed policy I made a call to Lombard customer care, I wondered why they were unable to search my policy neither with my name nor with my email id and phone numbers.
Then I rushed to nearest Lombard office at sector 15, Noida, they were also unable to search my detail, then they took my details and told me to share renewed policy detail by next day.
Next day over the phone they gave me new policy number 4034i/FPP/67572450/00/000, when I went to collect the document on 30-Nov-11, I found wrong proposer name, even though that proposer was unknown for me, they told me that is the problem with their data synchronize process and asked me to write an application.
When again I did a follow up visit to Lombard office on 15-Nov-11, I found the problem still exists, I asked them to cancel the policy, they shared first let us correct the name and then I can raised request to cancel it. When I asked for any kind of deduction if I would cancel the same they told me 30% of total amount will be deducted.
They ensured me to correct the error by next day but the error still not corrected they are asking me to take some more days.
Please help me out with this poor kind of service, what would happen if I would be needed to avail this policy as the document is not correct I doubt to get claim etc.
