Navakevala GK Bhat a member of Alankar Seva Sahakari Bank had paid premium to Yashaswini Health Insurance through the Bank. His leg got caught accidentally between the spokes of a motor cycle resulting in avulsion of sole of foot. He was rushed to Dhanvanthari Hospital Puttur. The doctors attended promptly and the repaired the sole surgically. He spent a sum of Rs.5210/- in all for the hospitalization. Upon submission of the claim bills to Yashaswini, the society and Yashaswini insurance officers kept warding off the bill and started to behave abnormally saying that he should not have taken treatment at any hospital but only in those hospitals where they had under the table understanding. Navakevala GK Bhat got furious. He frowned gave badly to everyone and asked them to pay a sum equivalent to the sum they would have paid to the hospital of their choice.
