I was suffering from severe Headache and weakness, hence I went to see a Doctor at Anaya Hospital on the 16th of January. The Doctor ran a few checks and adviced that I get admitted. I underwent a MRI Scan and full scan of the back of my head and was given 5 bottels of Glucose and Multi Vitamins. I was then discharged stating my condition was much better. The MRI and other scans revealed no head injury.

I have a corporate health insurance with FHPL. I collected all the Documents and filled out the claim form and submitted the form with all the original documents for a reimbursement. The following is the Discharge Summary:

Diagnosis: Myositis
Course and Treatment in Hospital: Patient admitted in a ward with the above mentioned history, relevant investigations done, treated with IV Fluids, Inj-Monocef, Inj-Pan, Inj-Emeset, Inj-Inac and monitored, Adviced C.T.Brain plain done which revealed normal and Ortho Openion taken adviced Tab - Nervijen-P, Patient responded to treatment and discharged with following medications:
Tab - Nervijen-P 0-0-1 X 1 week
Tab - Pantop 20mg 1-0-1 X 1 week (before food)
Tab - Monocef-O 200mg 1-0-1 X 4 days

My Claim has been processed from the 1st of Febrauary and I have received a reply today after almost 45 days. The following is the reply:
"Dear Mr. Hemal

We are in receipt of the claim documents of Mr.Hemal Dikshit submitted by you. However on going through the documents our medical Dept., is of the opinion that the claim does not fall under the purview of the policy for the following reasons

Reason for Rejection:

As per the medical opinion and submitted documents, the present hospitalization is for the investigation and evaluation of the ailment(As per clause 4.10 of the given policy). Hence we regret to inform that your claim is repudiated."
I find this unfair, I am not a Doctor and I cannot diagnose myself, I will go to a Doctor to investigate what I am going through and I was admitted because I needed treatment, as suggested by the discharge summary I responded to the treatment and I was discharged.
