As per the policy
- It covers maternity Benefits for SERGI India employees and their spouses.
I had filed for claim for maternity Benefits of my wife Reshu Khatri , on 3rd of January and initially the site of Raksha TPA showed it as claimed and settled to be paid.
However, ten days down the line it updated the claim as non Payable.(Attached for your reference).
- During this period, I was continually following it up with Raksha TPA and on different occasions,
o I was informed of cheque in processing .
o Cheque in dispatch
o Later on I was told by Raksha TPA executive at customer care to file a
complaint against Raksha TPA executives who all this while for 15 days had given me wrong Information
o Raksha TPA claimed that the New India assurance company has denied the
coverage for this policy.
- I was give number of Ms Aarti, who gave me number of Divisional
Manager Mr. Rakesh Kalra at Raksha TPA Chandigarh, and he informed to deal directly with insurance company.
On Approaching Mr. Gautam (Divisional Manager ) from The New India assurance company limited,
- He informed he is working on it and told me to wait for few
days,
- Later on he stopped answering my calls and rejected them.
Then I got in touch with Mr. Dinesh in office on number 0172-2667307,
- Around 21st of February, he first refused saying that competent
authority has refused the claim, then after argument, he said ok he will get it done by 1st of March.
- On 28th of February, he said it will be done in two to three
days.
- On 3rd of march, he has told us to file a case in court and
they
cannot give claim.
Then I got the landlines numbers of Mr. Gautam
- I called him again, and his version is we know we have to pay,
however our management is not accepting,you please proceed through court, you will get in two three days.
- I gave him reference of all documents, I have to support my
claim
and told that this is harassment, he said let me try once more.
Again after waiting period of one day, he has finally told me to settle it through court only and they are unable to help.
This clearly is a case of fraud on part of The New India Assurance company limited and its employees,
- For not keeping up to trust and faith we had shown in their
insurance product.
- For Causing Harassment to claimant to follow up for claim for
more than two months.
- For asking claimant to go and take legal course of action,
suggests no respect for legal system prevailing in india.
- For Not respecting standard clauses and cheating customer in
his
hour of need.
