complaint against apollo munich health insurance co.ltd. I want to inform you about the case between me and Apollo Munich Health Insurance Co. which is as follows:-
I would like to bring to your notice that the proposal form was not filled by me as well as signed by me. It was changed and forged.
The details were also not accurate. I informed the Apollo Munich Company regarding it on 9th October, 2010 after i received and checked my proposal form from them on my request on email.
With reference to my mail,they informed me that my concern has been logged into the system as Case No. 80,309.
After many mails and calls finally on 25th November,2010 i received a response from the company stating that, i should confirm the details of wrong information which i found to be filled in my proposal form by someone else.
I mailed them on the same day i.e. 25th November, 2010 about the details they requested.
On 2nd December, 2010 i received the following reply -:
""With reference to your Case No. 80,309, would like to update you that we had taken up this matter to the team concerned and as per the status we would require fresh underwriting in your case.Please also note that as per declaration of relevant details in the application form, we might re-underwrite the policy.Hence, request you to kindly fill fresh application form and change request form with correct details for necessary action.
Please find enclosed the proposal form and change request form (CRF) as per the requirement and you can send Scan copy of CRF along with copy of ID Proof / address proof as applicable on the same mail ID so that we can proceed further.""
I sent Apollo Munich Health Insurance co. a new proposal form as well as other documents as requested by them from me , which they received on 28th December, 2010.
I was told by the customer relation team from Apollo munich that my issue will be resolved within 15 days starting from 29th December,2010.
Whereas , now its been more than 30 days i have not got any response from them, i have sent many e mails and called them also.
Now my policy is due for renewal , and i am being harassed by the company , as i dont know i can renew it or not ????
As a bona fide citizen , i informed the company about their mis doings, and i am being harassed for the same. I dont want to lose my policy year in any case as i am nowhere at fault.
Kindly consider and give me a solution .

Apollo Chumps know nothing about healthcare, they only complicate it. To all the prospected customers of health insurance cos.
I feel slugged and looted by Apollo Munich health insurance co. who proclaimed to be the dab hands at the bizzo. They had promised me that all the Pre Policy check up charges below Rs. 300 (INR) would be reimbursed immediately upon issuance of the policy. Sadly they never cared to reimburse a paltry sum of Rs. 160/- only, the payment made towards Pre Policy check up of my wife at a Hospital / Facility designated by Apollo Munich.
After aboutr four months and a fierce condemning Email and a subsequent complain with IRDA they paid only Rs. 100 lmao !! . They can't even reimburse 160 Rs. How could a customer expect to get lacs of Rs. from those cheeky people when a claim is made? This is so stupefying and outrageous.
The story doesn't end just there. I unfortunately had to make a Cashless claim for a surgical removal of Endometrioma on my wife from a well known hospital in their network. The same was rejected. Prior to rejection I received a call asking if the policy was issued to me by an employer / company or is it an individual claim? Once they knew the claim was made in the individual capacity, they bluntly rejected it. Different people gave different reasons and the TPA said it was on the order of Apollo Munich that they are rejecting your claim.
They gave a Generalized reason .. Surgery of Genetourinal tract ain't covered.Another executive responded with " Policistic ovarian disease ain't covered and another said Cysts and internal tumors ain't covered ( lmao! then whats covered mon ? Just ask those people to give a list of whats covered apart from Malarial and Dengu / Typhoid ) At the time of issuing the policy they had stated that their policy wordings is crystalline and has no clandestine agenda of deceiving the customers. Only the specific names of the ailments mentioned therein are not covered for two years. Looking at the policy wordings its apparent that ENDOMETRIOMA ain't mentioned nowhere in the policy wordings. t can't be generalized. Looking at the policy I realized that everything save an odd Malaria or Dengu ...is excluded for two years.
The tele executives sounded disgruntled and became tetchy to know my intentions to follow this matter up until the dooms day or me getting justice whichever happens first.
I sincerely believe its my duty as a aggrieved customer of Apollo Munich Health Insurance Co. to alert and make aware other prospective customers who are intending to take a policy from Apollo, who were only be cordial to me unto the time I paid the premium and thereafter I became be the most frivolous living object for them.
Please think 100 times over before taking a insurance policy from Apollo, as insurance is a sensitive subject that relates to financial and emotional trauma and needs proper expertise & humanitarian approach of the issuer to handle.

Everybody beware of this nonsensical insurance company. I have been cheated by them myself and bet they are doing the same with most of their customers as it its apparent by the posters comments around the net.
Apollo Munich health insurance is simply the most disgusting service I have ever known. Those who have experienced their false committments and horrendous service could ascertain this. They know how to go back on their word. They have partnered Munich healtkh of Germany who partake their sins of making fools out of Indian Insurance seekers.
Hence they have chosen to make their website so glitzy and full of fake, baseless claims to intrigue poor people. I surmise they pay heavy commissions to the agents , especially those who commend them online to push for their products as they have nothing to relinquish once the customer is fooled.
BEWARE ..Don't be another sitting duck that these notorious Apollo Munich khutzs hunt.
APOLLO MUNICH IS THE WORST INSURANCE SERVICE PROVIDER.

My Paper Work Is Been Done By Mr Rohit Tondon (Mob 9825154549) He Did The Best Of His Efforts To Get My New Policy Done With You But With A Very High Regrets I Say That Since Long My Policy Shows The Status As Under Process.....After Lots Of Calling On Your Customer Care I Was Been Asked To Give An Email Giving Declaration As I Do Not Have Any Previous Year Policies Or Documents With Me As Of Now....
So Now I Here By Confirm And Declare That I Do Not Have Any Previous Year Policies Preserved As After Every New Year The Earlier One Gets Expired And No Need To Keep It...So I Always Disposes It ...I Was Not Knowing That In Future At The Time Of Portability Such Old Records Are Needed...Now Onwards I Will Defiantly Preserve The Same...

Complain against harassment calls from insurance company Its been 5 days that i inquired for a health insurance policy from appolo munich , but it was shocking that some agent keep calling me every 10 minutes and giving some agent id . Ill go to the consumer court to lodge a complaint against mental harassment. I would ike the company to take action on this as i am still getting calls and most of them recorded, are you people insane or just any other beggars from the street keep begging to buy the insurance policy. Why is there no system that one number should be called just by one agent and taken proper feed back. I need a written explanation on this as i am frustrated now.

Regarding delay in claim settlement Sir,
I am customer of Apollo munich family health plan medical insurance. I insured my mother with the policy.I am taking this policy since 2 years renewed on time.
But now I have claimed money as my mom is diagnosed with Cancer, I would like bring it to your attention that Company representatives are harrasing and not replying to our calls.Despite many calls to Customer care executive they keep on delaying with unreasonable excuses.
I would like to seek help to settle my insurance claim and would like to register complaint against companies unethical business practices.
Please let me know how Can I do that?
Any advice would be of much help.

Misleading information provide I am utterly dissatisfied with the misleading information provided by one of the representative that informed me in the first year while i was thinking of pregnancy that though my pregnancy would get covered on the 4 year i can always think about upgrading the plan to have it taken care of before the 4th year.Now that i might be expecting a delivery somewhere in the month of august 2013 and i called in to upgrade the plan when i needed it . Do you know what the representative got to say after he got to hear what had happened? He said he is sorry but i was misinformed about it.Was that all?Why do i come upon people in customer service who really do what they are taught and use less of their heads and really not go that extra mile to see what can be done that having to say what they have memorized in training.I really and surely had a very bad experience.Don't think that it would just be the end to everything.I would go to mouth shut and write on the incidence as to how can people be fooled and how can big companies like Apollo Munich do such a blunder and have such incompetent people .I also have my brother in Meri News and its not just a threat but i don't want Apollo Munich to have a bad name in Media,Twitter and Facebook.I would have found any other companies which would cover pregnancy in the second year as my friends had it been someone had not mislead me.My husband got the insurance as i told him to get it for me but what a waste.

not getting any respose after paying premium I am Satish kumar residing at #125 7th main road,Banaswadi,Bangalore.
I approached your company executive for a health insurance plan.
he came and took details and payment in cash for the first premium and sent me a card to the above mentioned address in which my year of birth was 1987.instead of 1987 please replace that to 1978.
next day he came to me and took the card and never returned till today.

Apollo Munich Health Insurance - A Non Sense and fly-by-night Service provider The worst insurance company i ever experienced in my life.
Last year we bought their so-called unbelievable product optima restore family floater as a sufficient cover for my family.
But this year in January when my wife got admitted to a hospital in mulund-Mumbai, I came to know how the company is cheating their customers by attractive products and fancy offers.
Till date the claim has not been settled even after i had approached their grievance cell and also their CEO Mr. Antony Jacob.
Infact, every time they come up with new defficiency letters and clarifications and try to fool their customer.
This is a strong appeal to the public that please never buy any insurance policy from Apollo Munich.
I am facing a harassment from their team who donot have any skill to judge which case is genuine and which is not.
The staff is highly clerical in nature and lacks common sense.
I even want media to expose their misdoings and malefide acts in raising their fake licenced agents.
