I had applied for Health mediclaim for my mother. Their representative told that the call for health check up will come in 2 working days. Sicne my mother was with me in Bangalore only for a week, i thought of getting her a mediclaim before she leaves to our native in Punjab. But even after repeated reminders nobody turned up and told us where to go for the medical checkup for one full week, as they have their approved hospitals only where you have to go for the check up. They had already taken my ICICI credit card details and told that this is necessary before we do the policy and call for a medical check but EMIs will start going once the policy is active. But my mother left for native and nobody called for medical checkup. I wrote ICICI Lombard to cancel this policy as she did her policy from Lombard only from their Punjab based office when she went back. ICICI lombard bangalore representative said that the policy is cancelled and money will be reimbursed to my account again. But, to my shock they started taking EMIs every month and didnt even inform me. Luckily i chekced my credit card statement and found that they are cutting the EMIs every month. When i am writing back to them, they are writing back and saying that this policy is cancelled and money is being transfered to your account whereas everymonth i keep getting their EMI billed in my statement. First of all how can they do 2 policies in the same name? Secondly, before even the medical checkup report is done, how can the policy be activated? Such highly unporfessional approach and this gives customers mental harrasment to an extent that i am thinking of cancelling my mother's policy too now and never deal with ICICI again as such
