United India repudiates Claim on flimsy ground but Consumer forum allows

United India Insurance repudiated Hernia operation claim saying that there was a gap in the policy period and that histopathology and scan report were not produced. In fact Histopathology and scan reports are not essential to either diagnose or to confirm a hernia. It is absurd to ask for such reports. No doctor gets a scan to diagnose an obvious hernia nor does he send any tissue for histopathology in the wildest of his dreams! Therefore the stand taken by the Insurance company was totally imaginary and unteneble. Open the attached judgment of Dakshina Kannada District Consumer Forum of Karnataka.
