The Insurer has rejested my wife's Mediclaim Insurance claim stating that Obstructive Slppe Apnoea is a pre-existing disease and it was not disclosed at the time of taking the policy.

Please note that I came to knew about this disease only when the first time she was hospitalised and as per the medical Doctors it is a problem which is faced by 55% of Indian.

I have sent repeated mail to the insurer to give me a clarification for the same, but they have not yet replied me.

I have taken star health insurance policy 4 years back, I registered a claim on my wife name K Vanaja Kumari, vide claim No: 0035136 dated: 05/07/2011 nature of disease: Hysterectomy operation, but till date I am calling all the people of Star Health no body bother to tell the status of the claim. I have called several times and wrote lot of mails but no body bother to answer are tell the status of the claim.

I dont know why these companies are very eager to collect the policies and the services are very bad. In this regard I want to post a complaint to IRDA by taking the details of sufferers from this site. Even I am not bother to get the claim at least I want to teach a lesson to this type of companies.

I have got confidence that this forum will enlighten people not to go with star health.

I have taken star health insurance policy 3 years back.My father met with an accident and we had submitted all documents in both case reimbursement and cashless but they rejected both saying that some documents are left.Kind request to take action against them and if possible make them to give us reimbusement of my claim.
