Dear Sir/Madam,
We have newly moved to Bangalore and had applied for a gas connection. The connection was approved after 2.5months. However, the agency - Sri Rama Agency, responsible for our area(Byrasandra, CV RamanNagar) has forced us to buy products worth Rs700. That includes, apron, lighter, lighter refill. They were forcing us to buy stove and hot plate which we did not purchase. We were also forced to buy stove, but as we already had one, it was inspected. The person who came for inspection too Rs 300 from us for the same. The agency charged an additional Rs 250 for the inspection.
There are no rules to our knowledge that these items have to be bought, or an additional Rs 300 has to be paid for inspection.
This has been going on for quite a while. If we refuse, they threaten to cancel the gas connection. As I am pregnant, i cannot do too much of running around and follow up.
